Payless Car Rental —
Rented in South San Francisco, CA (near SF Airport).Was quoted one price; however, this location charges an EXTRA $5/day if you pay with your Visa debit card. My Visa card is all I have, so I got stuck paying the extra $$$.
The car was very smelly and dirty with stains and cigarette burn holes. The passenger side floor was dirty (looked like sand on the floor).
While I was at the counter another lady who had just gotten her keys to her rental came running in to inquire about the bad cigarette smell in her rental. The manager said the cars are all non-smoking.
I had to use incense to get the smell out of my rental.
The "good" part of my experience was that I did not have to wait long at the rental agency.
