I've been on Paxil for about 7 years now. I am so much more relaxed and do not fall into the depressive episodes that I used to.  Also, I do not get those obsessive compulsive episodes anymore. I feel as if I'm finally on an even keel. There are some side effects that I could live without, like the weight gain, the constipation and the frustration at how long it takes to orgasm. But, I feel that the benefits definately out weigh the cons of the side effects.  I feel much better and am able to handle everyday situations a lot easier.  I plainly have a chemical imbalance and this medication is the cure.
