I bought the Paul Mitchel Smoothing Iron around christmas time, and I must say that it is a fantastic product! I've used flat irons from brand like Conair all the way to Chi. The cheaper brands such as conair, obveasly didn't last me long at all and always gave my hair a burnt, dried out look. And the Chi was a good Iron, that I had for a good two years, the only problem I had with the Chi was the velvet on the iron would come off, and became an eye sore, also there was always a build up of qunk ( I don't know what it was) on the sides of the Iron. My best friend is a hairdresser and she bought me this flat iron as a gift, it was one of the best gifts I ever received! I have very thick hair and it is quite unruly, it takes me so much time to manage it. I had tried other flat irons in the past but I found that they did not heat up to a high enough temperature to have any effect on my hair. I am in love with this flat iron.  I have bought other cheapies at Target or Walgreens and never seemed to get the look I was going for.  I have very thick hair and it seemed to take forever to get it smooth and straight.  Upon my Aunt's suggestion (she is a stylist), I bought the Paul Mitchell Smoothing Iron (green).  I fell in love immediately!  It glides through my hair with no effort and smooths and flattens it in one pass.  No more  having to make multiple run overs with my other flat iron.  I have had it for 3 years now and have never regretted the money I put into getting this. ...

Paul Mitchell Smoothing Flat Iron doesn't work well as others.  I prefer the Conair straightner because it does not dry out your hair as much as the others, and it does a better job of straighting without the frizz.

I love this styler. I have a busy life and lots of things to do. but this was fast and easy. I would tell my best friends to buy this I might even buy it for them. It really is worth the money you pay for it.
