I needed a new shampoo, and I saw this one at Target. I had pretty damaged hair at the time and was looking for something with extra moisture. I know that Paul Mitchell is a reputable brand and has great products, but I've never tried anything from him before so I gave it a shot. I also didn't read a review before I bought this product so I don't know what made me pick it up. I don't know if I got a bad bottle or if I just plain out didn't like the product. But I absolutely hated this all around. It didn't make my hair more moisturized, it actually didn't do anything at all. It smelled really bad too, almost like play dough, which is really gross. The smell lingered too, it didn't go away after I showered and styled my hair. I would not purchase this or recommend it to anyone. Effectiveness It did not moisturize my hair whatsoever. It made my hair feel more damaged and weighed down then it was before. It didn't make my scalp or my hair feel clean. My scalp still felt dirty after using this. Scent The smell of this product was horrible, like I said it smelled like play dough. The scent lingered horribly.

Paul Mitchell moisture rich shampoo is a great hair care product. I have very dry and brittle hair and this shampoo makes it feel soft and look shiny. I could tell a huge difference in my hair after just one use. I would definitely recommend this product.

I was afraid to try this at first - I have fine hair but I highlight it and it tends to need a bit more moisture. I have tried so many different kinds - but most are too heavy and make my hair weighted down or really greasy. NOT THIS ONE. It is just the right amount of moisture for my hair. My hair looks great and feels even better.

i really like the paul mitchell moisture shampoo and conditioner! it really gives my dry hair some moisture and I am very happy with it. I also like to occasionally use the conditioner as a conditioner treatment once a month by letting it sit for 20 minutes... works very well. but, i like to switch shampoos from time to time because this shampoo isn't sulfate free...

I have lived my whole life with horrible dry hair...my whole family has. Since I have started using Paul MItchell shampoo's I have noticed a huge difference. I have tried several different one's but my favorite is deffinently the the Moisture Shampoo. When I wash it lathers up really nice (which with the dry hair I have I'm not quite used to). Then it's managable and soft. The longer I have been using it, it seems my hair gets more and more healthy every day. Mind you it's not silky but soft and managable. I have naturally curly hair and it frizzes very badly when I wear it curly. Now when I get out of the shower I apply a light curling spray and scrunch and go. On top of having curly hair I also have very thick hair (very very thick hair) so sometimes I straighten it. When I straighten my hair (other than the occasional fly away) it is actaully shiny and smooth! The only con I have is that it tends to give me dry scalp. Not sure if that is due to getting my hair colored or not. Honestly, I have only colored my hair 1 time a year for the past 3 years. So I wouldn't say I have over done it. Last time I went to the Paul Mitchell Scholl to get my hair done they recommended that I could switch back in forth between two different shampoo's. One for moisture and one for my dry scalp. Overall this hair is great for dry hair, curly hair, Straight hair and as all Paul Mitchell shampoo's are good for is retaining color in color treated hair. This shampoo is a little pricey but well worth the cost. They do sell the big bottles in a shampoo/conditioner two pack a couple times a year which is well worth the money and last forever. I typically try to buy several sets at those times.
