This fall we looked for alternative heating options in addition to our kerosene which is very expensive right now. So we looked for a space heater to heat only the part of the house we are in at the daytime while kids are at school to save in the heating bills.

We decided to buy this economical unit...

I own this heater and I am happy with the heat it provides.   The product seems to be energy efficient because I use it most every night for several hours while at my desk and have not noticed an increase in my electric bill.  I cannot suggest the product for heating a room; however, it does do... review »

This was the smartest purchase I made going in to winter.  We have a large living room that turns to the dining room and kitchen.  This heater keeps our living and dining room toasty and we haven't seen the electric bill change more that $40 per month.  Not bad!

Patton Heater - MaxFlow Radiant Heater:

I actually like this heater a lot.  I do notice, however, that it doesn't throw the heat out very far.  If you have a small room or space to heat it may get the job done, but to heat a whole room with it would take a longer time.  For an entire room I would recommend a different product.  Overall it is a nice-looking product and it didn't crank up my electric bill.  I also am not sure if it was my wall outlet or if it was the heater, but I did notice that the cord on this product was warm and the plug was burning hot to the touch.  I had another...

The patton max flow heater is the best small space heater that i believe is out there that is gonna keep your house warm in any room. This may be a small heater but it sure gets the job done. This small and spacious heater is low on money cost too. You don't have to worry about spending too much money on a good heater because this is the one your gonna want to buy. You should never think or believe that the more expensive the heater is the better it's gonna work. Don't ever think that. You should always try different brands and sizes because some wont get the job done. This heater gets very hot...

i checked the reviews and thought i would go ahead and check the cheap way out bought a patton heater - maxflow raident heater for $27 at walmart i figured it was worth a shot since it was so cheap(and could take it back since it was walmart). This product tottaly amazed me in 3 hours. I have a open living room and dinning room that is 15f by 25ft. Before i got it i had a holmes model # hqh308 that isnt bad but wouldnt heat the room to a comfortable temp and really only helped when you were 6FT close.

When i brought it home and pluged the patton raident heater in i wanted to take...

I have used this heater for two years.  With the cost of heating your home, shortcuts are very necessary.  I purchased this heater from Wal-mart for around $17.00.  It has yet to let me down.  My heating bill is lower and my electric has pretty much the same.  The Patton heater heats a pretty big size room and has a nice length of cord as to keep it away from draperies and such.  It is very cool to touch and if knocked over cuts of automatically.  Is safe if you have busy children.  I recommend this heater if you want to save bigs bucks on your heating bill.

The floor heater works great on heating up a room. I don't have to worry about heating the whole house. We keep it in the family room and my 1 year old is able to go near it with out me being over protective.  He has knocked it over once and the automatic shut off system worked great.  It didn't leave a mark on the carpet even though there was a burnt smell for a little while.  I would recommend this floor heater to all my friends.

I live in a 3 bedroom apartment with my older brother and my mom.  My mom is anemic and so she gets cold very easily.  I can have this on in my brother's room -- central to the apartment, and it will warm up the floor in my mom's room.  It makes a little clanky noise when it first comes on but is hardly a reason to not buy it!  I love it and I can also have it in my college residence hall without violating any policies...very safe.

Great little heater, good for one person sitting directly in front of the heater in either a sitting or squating position. I use my in the cold of Alaska outside my house in my shed to keep warm as there is no other heat available to me. Without this heater I would be found frozen solid in the spring most likely, just a joke...but it does keep me warm enough.
