This fall we looked for alternative heating options in addition to our kerosene which is very expensive right now. So we looked for a space heater to heat only the part of the house we are in at the daytime while kids are at school to save in the heating bills.

We decided to buy this economical unit from Walmart to see how it works. I was very doubtful about this one, it was only $25 dollars so how good can it be?

Now I'm absolutely amazed by it! Heater is little under 22 inches wide and 7 inches wide but it is very good heater! And the great thing about it is that it stays cool to the touch around the grill no matter how long it runs.

There is no sharp corners for my kids to get hurt on and I try to keep it away from any furniture and nothing aroun it has been warm to the touch as of yet. The safety is very important for me with children around!

It comes with overheat caution light and an alarm and automatically shuts off if its tipped over.

There is level I and level II for heating in 1000 or 1500 Watts. The fan shoots the air around and it can prett much heat 3 rooms without any problems! I think my house is warmer now in 20 degree temps than only with a propaine heat from the floor.

You can also adjust the level of heat for max to min in both settings and heat feels like warm air, not too hot close by. My kids absolutely love it!

Only question for me is how much electricity it will use, other than that I am absolutely in love with this product. I could only find this model only at Walmart website and as I'm writing this it is out of stock online. My local Walmart had plenty units left few days ago.

So if you are looking for a nice little heater fo reasonable price do not pass this one by!

You're making me remember winters in New Hope.

Any time I hear about space heaters it reminds me of my mother and her sisters when I was a girl. They would stand with their backs to the heater with their skirts hiked up. I don't know if this is a "southern" thing or everyone does it. lol
