Get the candles on eBay, skip the party!

A huge candle fan, married, not rich, comfort oriented, a kid at heart

Pros

Lots of scents to choose from, Smell excellent

Cons

Cost, Minimum party sales is rediculous

I recently tried to have a Partylite candle party. I decided to have a book party, mostly due to the fact that I have a very small house. And also because I had just been to a Partylite party and didn't want to have to invite some of the same people.

Evidently the minimum sales order is $250. I knew right away that wasn't going to happen! I was able to sell to 5 people, 1 of them was myself!

Needless to say, the consultant wasn't real pleased with my lack of orders. I did manage to find in the small print something about a 15% discount if you had a party with less than $250 in sales. Did I get that? NO

The candles are great, but they are way overpriced. Especially if you compare candles bought at WalMart. They do smell great.

Bottom line is that I will never have another Partylite party of any type, and the next time I need Partylite candles, I will be checking out eBay!

I feel bad that you got a bad consultant. I know from what I read that the consultant did not help you with your party or give you correct information. Please don't judge this amazing company by one bad consultant. If your party is under $250 or you don't have a booking then you only get 15% in FREE product. Over those amounts it's 25% in FREE product, plus the option to buy $50 of product for only $9.95. Not a discount. They didn't know what they were talking about. You can buy these candles from others but after they charge shipping it comes out to cost more then if you buy direct from a consultant. I hope you could come to love PartyLite again.

Not all Consultants will snub a book show of less than $250 and there is no way you should not have received your 15% Hostess rewards if you were doing a book party for someone. I'm sorry you were not treated with the respect you should have been. Each Consultant has the power to run her business as she wishes. In the future, please feel free to contact PartyLite directly, or look for a Consultant who will treat you better.

Wow that was pretty crappy of them not of honor the 15%. I agree, they are to expensive.
