Parker Brothers Scrabble Deluxe Turntable Edition Reviews

I fondly recall playing scrabble weekly with my family growing up. And, I still love to play the game. If you are a scrabble lover (I like Yahtzee and Boggle as well!) you have to get this board. Scrabble Deluxe is worth the extra money to be able to spin the board and not shuffle the letters. When my son was still in school, reading was not his strong point. But he loved games, so I got this deluxe Scrabble to play with him.  We had to bend the rules......he could use a dictionary to challenge me and he wouldn't lose points if he made a mistake.  The funniest was when he would "sneak" the dictionary to his room to "study" words to beat me, and the pride he experienced when he DID in fact beat me made me even happier than he was.  As a grown man he continues to beat me, legitimately this time with no dictionary help, which is quite an accomplishment, since I am… read full review »

This is one of the few games that can be played by most anyone. It even works for my young daughter (who barely spells at 5), she plays with a partner. I love playing this game with older folks especially, because they already know the rules, there is no learning curve or lengthy explanations needed. The turntable board is so much easier to use, no more reading upside-down or straining your neck to examine the board. making words together keeps us close. We have so much fun playing scrabble with family and friends. I never tire of it. Some of us have come up with great words that we werent sure of and look them up to check for validity . It expands our vocabularies when we have new words to use. I feel this game is for all ages. It is nice to see how vast the words are. The more experienced players make some large words, whereas the younger generation tend to make smaller words since they are just learning them.
