I have to say that I absolutely love this hotel & casino.
The location is fantastic - you are center strip with easy access to the major hotels & happenings on the strip. The monorail is located a slight walk thru the back of Bally's.
Restaurants - Paris and it's adjoining sister hotel, Ballys, have a wide variety of selections within a short walk for all appetites and pocketbooks. A must stop for a quick meal is the Crepe' stand directly across from the Paris buffet. However, for a nice relaxing breakfast, I head directly to the buffet. Its about $16 for the buffet, vs. around $10 for a crepe' & coffee. They can make you fresh crepe's right in a section of the buffet along with BYO omlettes, etc. I don't eat much more but the relaxing atmosphere and the opportunity to get juice, a couple of eggs and a bit of meat makes the extra few dollars well worth it. Make sure you go early as the lines become quite long. Supper is also outstanding at the buffet!!
Cafe' St. Louis is open 24 hours with a more limited menu during the overnight. Service is not always the fastest but food prep time is minimal and comes out quickly. Always great food.
Le Provincal (sorry about spelling!) had outstanding food and a quiet pleasant atmosphere. Servers periodically sang and had beautiful voices.
J.J.'s next door had good average food, although not the biggest selection. But did find out this trip I could get a latte' in the bakery section without running to Ballys.
Nosh at Ballys (near the front hotel elevators) provides quick and easy breakfast with bagels with a schmear, sandwiches for lunch & supper (love their tuna salad).
Rooms - I have had both a standard and a premium room. (Never a P-suite room). The layouts are exactly the same, however, the premium rooms have a strip view. My strip view room was behind the Eiffel tower & overlooked the pool. My rooms are comped, but I would never pay extra for that view. I have not had a remodeled room - mine have had the standard TV in the armoire. But wonderful room - SUPER comfy bed and I love the separate stand-in shower. Nice toiletries & amenities. At some point if I stay in a remodeled room, the normal ones may seen not as nice, but until then I rate them A+++.
Layout- The hotel layout is superb for getting to your rooms. There is one central area you go into and the elevators branch off like spokes on a wheel for the appropriate floors. This is much nicer than some of the hotels where elevators can be a mile (it seems) from the rooms.
Beverage Service - Seems to be the better of most of the hotels I have played at. If you tip the beverage server, they seem to come back frequently and the drinks get stronger, LOL.
Valet - BEST valet service I have encountered. These guys run and have the speediest valet service of any of the hotels I have used (Sahara, NYNY, Bellagio, Harrah's, Ballys, Rio). Set of stop lights directly in front of the hotel make it easy to access the strip.
Complaints? - I'd LOVE a Starbucks here!
