This is a really great wrap!  Helps you breastfeed discreetly.  It keeps the baby warm during the cold days.  I recommed this as a first wrap.  It is very comfortable and not hard on your back at all.

I keep this in my car with me at all times, along with my sling.  It holds a child up to 35 pounds and is very convenient when you have a two year old running around.

The wrap is very stretchy which is a good thing and a bad thing.  It is good because when the baby is young, you want something to move with him/her.  It is bad because when your child becomes older and heavier, you have to retie it so you want something that is woven.

There are five different carrying styles which is great:  nursing, chest to chest, back to chest, hip carry and back carry.  The nursing/craddle style is a little difficult to learn so I did chest to chest even when my baby was a couple weeks old because she always kept her head to the side.

All-in-all, a baby must have!

I purchased this wrap secondhand and found that it was great for my newborn.  As he got to be about 12 pounds or so though, he started to sag a bit.  I purchased a Moby Wrap and learned that the Ultimate Baby Wrap is much stretchier- thus the reason for the sagging at a lighter weight.  I was able to carry my son in the Moby Wrap for a much longer time frame.

I do however think that it is a decent wrap- as long as you don't expect to use it for a long time.

Also, I had read reviews about the fabric slipping out through the rings so I just tied it instead.

Soft, comfortable, and versatile

Comments about Parent's of Invention The Ultimate Baby Wrap Carrier:

I loved my Parents of Invention Ultimate Baby Wrap Carrier!  I no longer use it with my almost two year old, but according to the specifications on the product, I certainly could!  And I think my four year old would still fit their weight requirements as well (I have small children!).  This wrap is made of a single piece of super soft jersey cotton with two rings at one end.  There are 5 different ways this wrap can be worn, but I primarily used it to carry a newborn inward facing, and then when she got bigger I carried her outward facing.  Carrying her inward was very secure as you place part of the fabric around her head (hard to explain) which supports her neck without ever compromising her breathing.  Carrying her outward facing was fun for her as it allowed her to be close to me but gave her a great view of the world.  If worn correctly, this carrier will not hurt your back or shoulders as the fabric evenly distributes your baby's weight over your entire upper body.  The wrap comes with a DVD to explain how to put it on correctly.  This can sometimes be frustrating at first, but it gets to be so easy.  Sometimes to save time I liked to put mine on before leaving the house and would drive with it on, then just pop the baby in the wrap when we arrived to our destination.  Super easy to wash, store and carry.  And the little pouch on the front is great for keeping an extra binky in.  I have tried and used 4 other baby carriers, and this is the only one I would ever recommend.

Great way to have your baby close.

This wrap was my first attempt at baby wearing and im glad that it was! I love this wrap! It is extremely easy to use and even comes with a DVD telling you how to use it properly. There are various ways to wear your baby and it can even be used on toddlers. I have carried my 4 month old in this and I have also carried my 2 year old in this. It just varies on the carry. I would recommed that everyone with babies should at least try this method of carrying your baby.

Best carrier hands down for the newborn days!

By

from Stuarts Draft, VA

Comments about Parent's of Invention The Ultimate Baby Wrap Carrier:

I absolutly love this carrier!  It is my favorite of all the many I have tried.  I am a busy mom of 4 children under 5 years apart, the oldest just entered kindergarden, and I could not have survived the newborn days of the youngest three without this carrier.

It is comparable to the Moby, but so much better in my opinion.  It is made of a stretchy fabric that holds and wraps around my newborns so comfortably.  Its also secured with a ring style clasp versus the origional Moby, which you would tie.  For less cost, you get the same style wrap with better features!

Two of my babies have suffered from severe acid reflux and being able to strap them upright against my chest way a lifesaver for me and them as well.  It kept them in the most comfortable position for them, helped keep their food down, and allowed me to be right there if they were having breathing problems.  At the same time as all of the above, I was able to care for my older children, because I still had to hands available.

Another awesome benefit to this carrier is that it totally and completly hides my post baby belly flab!  With the stretchy, wide fabric you can wrap it around to suck in all the wobbly parts you would rather not have your fellow shoppers gawking at. :)

The Ultimate Baby Wrap gave me the baby wearing addiction!

By

from Fort Worth, TX

Comments about Parent's of Invention The Ultimate Baby Wrap Carrier:

The Parent's of Invention The Ultimate Baby Wrap Carrier was a great purchase.  It is a lot of fabric and at first can feel overwhelming.  However, with the included video and booklet and practice you can become a pro in no time.  The carrier is light weight and stretchy.  The stretchiness is great for the newborn stage but once about 15 or so pounds the baby quickly starts to sag in the carrier.  Once baby hits this weight mark it is time for a woven wrap.

This carrier keeps baby close.  The carrier is comfortable for both parent and baby.  This is truly a hands free carrier.  There is a pocket in the front for lightweight items (keys, credit card, diaper, etc).  This carrier uses rings intstead of tying. I did not like the rings and could never keep it tight enough, so I always ended up tying it instead.

I do not recommend any front facing baby wearing.  It is not as comfortable for wearer or baby and overall not the way to wear.

Similar to Moby, but with a pocket

Comments about Parent's of Invention The Ultimate Baby Wrap Carrier:

The Ultimate Baby Wrap is a very handy wrap for the newborn stage.  I had both the Ultimate Baby Wrap and the Moby Wrap and although a similar style wraps, the Ultimate Baby Wrap has some pros over the Moby and some cons.  The thing I liked most about the Ultimate Baby Wrap is the pocket!  I was forever running in and out of places with just my keys and cell phone, and with the Moby, I always had to bring my purse or diaper bag, or carry them, which got cumbersome, when I would need to get through doors, or help my older two kids.  With the ultimate, the pocket eliminated the need to carry and extra bit.  You do need to be careful not to put a sharp or dangerous object in - since there is no padding next to baby through the wrap except their clothes, but I would carefully put in my keys and my cell phone did well.  The Ultimate Baby Wrap fabric is more stretchy than the Moby- which is good for ease of getting baby in and out, BUT it also stretches out much faster than the Moby- which means more tightening.  The Ultimate's rings seem like a good idea (they do make it easy to tighten up), but the plastic dug into me, and it never seemed super secure- so I tied it up more than using the rings.  I prefered the ends of the Moby over the rings.  I liked both carriers, but the pocket won out for me more often than not, and I ended up wearing the Ultimate more often for my daughter when she was a newborn until about 6 months when it would stretch out way to much to make it worth wearing.

I really wanted to like it....

By

Comments about Parent's of Invention The Ultimate Baby Wrap Carrier:

...but I didn't, and because of the bad experience, I almost gave up babywearing altogether.

I must've watched the video instructions on how to use that wrap over ten times! I wrapped and rewrapped exactly like they showed in the video, but I could not get it to work right! My baby slid down to this awkward height (she was only 3 months old and in the 5th percentile--she's not heavy!) and fussed and squirmed. And she didn't feel secure, either.

I was so sad! I thought this would be the perfect way to stay close to my baby and keep the strain off my back, but instead it was just a nightmare. Plus, the wrap didn't look as cute as I thought it would look when I was wearing it.

I know it's much more expensive, but I would recommend that if you're serious about babywearing, you save up and buy the ergobaby instead. It doesn't require any complicated and time-consuming tying, it makes your baby feel secure, and it keeps the strain off your back. My baby is 7 months old now and she still loves it!

The Ultimate Baby Wrap is an absolute must have!

By

Comments about Parent's of Invention The Ultimate Baby Wrap Carrier:

-   This Wrap is a must have for every busy mom!  It is comfortable, versatile and easy to use.  It grows with baby.  I used it to cradle my infant.  Then as he grew switched from front, inward facing, on to outward facing and on the back.  It is surprising comfortable and I am a small bonywoman.  I tried a few of the more traditional backpack style which just dug into my shoulders.  With the ultimate baby wrap I could carry my baby for hours without discomfort.  Not to mention the amount of things I was able to get done!  Definitely could not have lived without this!  Highly recommended!

Ultimate Baby wrap is better than the moby

By

from Spring Valley, CA

Comments about Parent's of Invention The Ultimate Baby Wrap Carrier:

I have both the Moby and the Ultimate Baby Wrap and I just keep reaching for my UB!  It's so light and cozy. The fabric is most breathable which is important for my little hot head.  Yup every time she falls asleep against me her little head gets toasty and sweaty.  This is a preferable material by far if you like the wrap method of baby wearing.  I still found it to be warm enough in the winter given that we were both clothed and my body heat kept her quite warm not to mention being snuggly wrapped into two if not three layers of the wraps fabric.  I also have to comment that I really like the security of the wrap method.  Dispite the nice stretch allowing for insert and removal of my baby it keeps her very snug to me once she's in so that I can lean all the way forward to pick things up off the floor if need be and she just stays put.  It really is simple to learn the basic wrap as well.  My baby never fusses when I wrap her to my body, it is a terrific soother in that sense, and let's me be hands free to boot. Overall this is the best wrap we've tried and or purchased.
