The perfect snack for little fingers

5

This is the perfect snack for the little ones that are learning to feed them selves. They have many healthy varieties ti chose from. Whether you want to give your little one vegetables or fruit. They dont leave a mess, so no need to worry about smeared food on the face, hands, or clothing when you are on the go. They come in a recloseable container making it easier for mom to put in the diaper bag. You can also reuse the container! Just as with any other product, please be sure to not leave your child unattended while he or she is eating this puff snack. This puff snack gets soft in the baby's mouth wich helps reduce the risk of choking. This is walmart brand but it is the same as the Gerber puffs just cheaper. And with four children of my own I love the cheaper store brand version because its the same thing! Quality of Ingredients I love that they are made in so many healthy varieties. It really helped me to get the daily intake of veggies into my little one. Safety Always supervise your child when eating.

Great Starter Snacks

5

These puffs are great for teaching children to eat, and they are cheaper than other brands. Combining those two factors makes them a great deal. Quality of Ingredients These puffs are more of a snack to satisfy a baby than a nutritional snack. So they do not have a whole lot of nutrition in them. But recognizing them for what they are, they do have quality ingredients. Safety These puffs dissolve very quickly just from the moisture in the mouth. When our babies were first trying food beyond the softest baby foods, we used these first. The change took some adjustment, but the puffs' ability to dissolve made it safe. Even when our babies were first struggling to swallow something a little bit larger, if they had any problem, the puff would dissolve away quickly, making it much easier to swallow. I would say that this is about the safest thing we have found for teaching children to eat something beyond baby cereal and pureed vegetables.

My toddler loved Parent's Choice Little Puffs!

5

When my daughter was a small toddler, these were great. She loved them and so did I. They were firm when she first eats them but turn soft instantly once they are in her mouth. It made it a lot easier for her to eat them because she was still teething and these softening so fast was good for her during that time. She loved the flavor. I loved that they were full of essential vitamins she needed to grow healthy. I trusted this brand and was greatly satisfied with the overall product. I have recommended these puffs to other Mom's and my niece and nephews have all eaten these as small toddlers. These were so convenient to, I just put my daughter some in a zip lock bag and let her eat them by herself. It taught her a sense of independence. She loved being able to feed herself. If and when I have another baby I will use the Parent Choice products. I can see all small children enjoying the taste of these puffs and parents loving the fact that they are easily accessible and healthy for your child.

Baby Likes It Sometimes...

3

My one-year-old only likes these sometimes. She likes it when they don't come out very often because they seem new to her. But if she gets them whenever, she stops being willing to eat them. I think it's because they have little to no flavor at all. I ate a couple, just to see what they taste like and I could barely tell that there was any flavor at all. It might as well have tasted like water or highly dilluted flavoring in the puffs. They are easy for her to eat because they dissolve easily in her mouth, though. So that's a plus. Also, I looked at the nutrition label, expecting all kinds of nutrients to have been added, and there's hardly anything in it nutrition-wise. I might as well just get her cheerios because they taste better and they actually have nutrition in them. These also have more sugar than I would expect. Quality of Ingredients I'm sure the quality is just fine, I just wish there was more nutrition added to these if we're giving them to our little babies. It's like empty calories, or pretty much "no" calories almost. Safety They dissolve easily and quickly in the mouth, so they're very safe.

Parent's Choice Little Puffs are a Great Option for New Eaters

5

I thought that the Parent's Choice Yogurt Melts were great. But in reality, these are even better. I was concerned at first that my son, who is quite young, would have difficulty with them or choke on them, but that has not been the case at all. Rather, he has had no problem with them and loves them much more than the yogurt melts, probably because they taste more natural. They make an awesome snack for him, both for when we are out together and I am having my afternoon coffee, and for church nursery, since I don't want him to have cheerios yet and he won't take a pacifier to calm down. They also keep him happy during long shopping trips and car rides. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase. I will certainly be buying them in the future. Quality of Ingredients Parent's Choice uses only natural ingredients in these puffs, so they are healthy for little ones. I am happy to see that WalMart's store brand is taking an interest in being more health conscious, and not just inexpensive. Safety My 6 month old has never choked on these. They seem to dissolve well and be nice and soft for baby gums.

BAD CHOICE for infants

1

Read the label! Do you really want your infant to be exposed to these things? WHEAT starch, WHEAT flour, SUGAR, OAT flour, TRI- and DICALCIUM PHOSPHATE, TOCOPHEROLS, ZINC SULFATE, di-ALPHA TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, TUMERIC extract, ELECTROLYTIC IRON, CARMEL COLOR. It just doesn't make any sense to breast feed for all of the right reasons, and then feed your infant PUFFS!!! Quality of Ingredients See overall comments. Safety See overall comments.

Tasty little snacks for toddlers that melt in the mouth.

5

My youngest child is probably too old to be eating the Parent's Choice Little Puffs but he has been eating the ever since he started eating solid foods and he just loves them. There is nothing bad for him in there an they are healthy so I still buy them for him even though they are meant for toddlers and kids much younger. These little bite sized snacks (baby bite sized that is) are kind of shaped like the letter A and they are all puffy and kind of crisp to the touch, but when you put them in your mouth or when a toddler I should say put them in their mouth they just kind of melt. This makes them nice and safe to eat and nearly impossible to choke on. They also have a very nice fruity pineapple flavor that I find pleasant and I know my son does as well. The snacks are made with natural ingredients and there is no sugar or sodium added. They are very similar to a name brand product that makes the same thing but they are about .80 cheaper per container. The 48 oz container holds a lot of snacks because they are small and very light weight. The container is easily resealed and thin so it fits on a counter nicely but it is not very portable. I usually have to put a bunch in a baggie when we go places rather than carry the whole container in a diaper bag or a purse. If they sold individual packs of this it would be nice. Other than portability I have no complaints about the Parent's Choice Little Puffs. Quality of Ingredients Pretty good, they are all natural and there is no sugar or sodium. Safety Very safe they are perfect for a toddler's hands and they melt in the mouth so choking is nearly impossible. Probably not impossible but nearly.

Great Alternative to more expensive brands!

5

Like most little babies, my son loves little cereal puffs, but he can go through them quickly and they are pricey (the same price as an entire box of cereal!). So when the Parents Choice Little Puffs came out, it was a great compromise for a snack he loves that we can have for quick on-the-go treats, and doesn't cut into our grocery budget much at all. There are several flavors, and he loves them all, so we mix & match so he doesn't get used to just one type. I would definitely recommend these to parents with small children as a healthier alternative to sugary cereals, while still being a fun treat for the child. It is very easy to pour a small amount into a little snack container to stick in the diaper bag (great to have on hand when you're waiting in a long check-out line at the grocery store and a little someone is starting to get antsy) or to sprinkle a couple on the table for the baby to practice hand coordination of picking food up! Quality of Ingredients The flavors are good, but they are still a "refined/processed/simple" carb, so if whole grains or organic is important to you, these probably wouldn't fit your lifestyle. We use them as on-the-go snacks and not everyday regulars.

Great snack for little fingers!

5

I am the mom of three and all three of my kids have enjoyed these Parent's Choice Little Puffs. We have tried all the flavors, the kids like them all. They are very comparable to the big brand Gerber Graduate puffs, the but of course they are much cheaper (which is important to us!). I like that Parent's Choice offers a variety of flavors. I wish that they sold them by the box (like a cereal box) instead of the little bottles they come in. They don't stay in the little bottles anyway, those are too big to fit in a diaper bag. These are great little snacks to have on hand to keep little mouths and little hands busy especially when you are on the run. The size is great for little fingers to grasp and a fun way for them to develop hand-eye coordination. They dissolve quickly so you don't need to worry about your child choking. I think I gave these to my kids starting around 6 months old. Cheerios are good too, but they take more chewing and don't dissolve as quickly.

Great starter!

When the doctor told us that we could start giving our daughter baby food, we were both excited and terrified!  We were excited that she was not able to enter the world of "real food", but terrified that she wouldn't understand how to feed herself and would choke.  These little puffs were the perfect solution!  In no time, she was able to pick the little puffs up independently and feed them to herself.  The only issue we had with the puffs was with the banana flavor.  When they got moist, they left pretty bad stains on anything they touched.  Other than that, we were happy with the puffs!  They were the perfect treat to take with us when we would go out to eat so our daughter would feel that she was part of the meal.  A word of warning with the container, the lid doesn't stay on well!  There were a couple of times that we opened the diaper bag and the puffs were all over the bottom.  Just be sure to put the container inside a plastic bag!  Overall this is a great product, and affordable!
