I've finally discovered that various manufacturers of diapers cater to different shapes of children. Kind of like Wrangler and Levi fit different shaped people.
Parent's Choice diapers fit my long and lean baby nicely. As long as I get the diaper properly placed, which is a bit of a project since she's VERY active, these diapers typically do not have any episodes of leaking.
These diapers do not cause my daughter to have rashes, and she has sensitive skin.
Some diapers have some sort of perfume in them (I tried Pampers Baby Dry diapers and they have a VERY strong smell)--Parent's Choice diapers do not have an odor unless your little one has made a deposit.
Diapers have come a long way since 2001, when I first became a mom. Parent's Choice diapers have a picture on the front of the diaper and tabs that you can re-adjust without ripping the diaper apart. The elastic around the legs makes life much easier.
Parent's Choice diapers come in bags or boxes. I prefer the bags because they are less bulky. However, if you get the box, you may be able to provide your little one with loads of entertainment. I finally stapled batting and material around one box and now keep board books in it. How's that for recycling?
My suggestions for changes to this product would be that they print the size of the diaper on it because it is easy to get sizes mixed up when updating diaper bag supplies and to sell them in larger quantities. It would also help to label diapers as to what shape baby they fit--long & lean, short & squishy, etc.
As babies grow, you may be left with diapers that your baby has outgrown. If unopened, Wal-Mart will allow you to exchange them for another size, even without a receipt. If opened, you may wish to do one of the following:
--save them in case you have another child
--donate them to a nursery or non-profit organization catering to children or a friend who is expecting or has a child smaller than your own
--use them as padding for mailing a package
Overall, I think Parent's Choice diapers are a great buy and fit slender babies nicely.
