My son received the Parents Bee Bop Band for Christmas and I was not too thrilled with the idea at first because the last thing I need is a 10 month old beating the drums and shaking a tambourine for hours on end. It turns out the Bee Bop Band is a great set of toys that entertains your little one and yourself by watching all the fun they have.
Parents magazine has recently come out with a line of toys for children and the Bee Bop Band is one of them. Parents magazine provides many tools and helpful ideas for parents, so it only makes sense they came out with a line of toys. I think it's a great idea.
The Bee Bop Band is comprised of six different musical instruments, each with an insect theme:
The drum has a removable lid to store all the instruments inside. It makes clean up very easy. My son's favorite part of the Bee Bop Band are the centipede drumsticks. As expected, they are not only used on the drum. They are also used on mommy, daddy and any other object close by.
As unexcited as I was in receiving this gift for my son, I have totally changed my mind. Watching him have fun with these toys is a great thing to witness. Plus, they are not as annoying as I had anticipated.
The Parents Bee Bop Band is available at Target for $29.99. That might seem expensive, but you get so many toys inside, that the price is actually really good. If you were to breakdown the price per toy, that's only $5.00 per musical instrument!
The label says that it is for babies 18 months and up, but my son is 10 months old and I don't see any reason why it isn't appropriate for him. This would make a great gift!
