Paranormal Activity Review

Paranormal Activity..... hmm, let me start by saying that anyone who truly knows me knows that I am a believer in the unknown.  That being admitted, I listened to the hype and saw this movie today.  After all, the reviews have been very favorable and it's made a ton of money.

Paranormal Activity left me saying "I'm so glad that I did not pay full price for this movie."  I love spooky movies.  I want to be scared without all of the blood and guts - its not necessary. Paranormal Activity is unique in that it is made like The Blair Witch Project.  You see the film through their amateur camera.  You will either love it or hate it.  I loved The Blair Witch Project.  I did not love Paranormal Activity.

A little about the movie:

Katie and Micha are a young couple who have been together for a few years.  Katie has dealt with paranormal experiences since she was 8.  When she moves in with her boyfriend, she never told him of her past experiences. I can understand that because there are a lot of people out there who are not open to it and will think you are a looney.

Katie's experiences begin to progress and Micha cannot deny the things he is hearing and witnessing first-hand.  There are some scary moments. I jumped two or three times.  It was all believable until the end.  I don't want to ruin it for people that may go and see it.

I must tell you that when I left the theater most I paid attention to what others were saying and they were mostly disappointed as well.

Bottom line, I expected more...a lot more.

I should have went to Starbucks with the $5 that I paid for my ticket!!!
