Okay, Not Stellar

By

Comments about Pantene Pro-V Relaxed & Natural Anti-Dandruff Shampoo:

I tried the Pantene Pro-V Relaxed & Natural Shampoo (along with the conditioner, moisturizer, and setting lotion). Overall, I was not wowed by this product. It is not the worst shampoo that ever existed. However, it is not the best shampoo that ever existed either. The smell is okay. I guess you could also say that the amount of product you get for the money that you spend is a fair price too.

My hair felt dry after using this product. I guess if you want to use this stuff that you should use a conditioner with good slip to make it easier to detangle your hair. You can get good lather with this shampoo. However, that is probably just the sulfates in the ingredigents of the Pantene Pro-V Relaxed & Natural shampoo. (In fact, good lathering does not indicate that a shampoo is really cleaning your hair really really good.)

If you are a hard core Pantene lover I would at least give this stuff a chance. However I'll pass.

Works great on my hair!

Comments about Pantene Pro-V Relaxed & Natural Anti-Dandruff Shampoo:

I have used Pantene Pro-V Relaxed & Natural Anti-Dandruff Shampoo several times in the past due to past dandruff problems. After using this product between two weeks to a month I noticed a great decrease in dandruff flakes. The flakes were barely noticeable especially after combing my hair in which combing my hair usually increases the amount of dandruff flakes in my hair. I found this shampoo product to be very soothing on my scalp in which I also enjoyed the fragrance of this product as well. My hair smelled nice instead of smelling like medicated shampoo in which most anti-dandruff and dandruff shampoos smell like when using them on my hair. My hair is now dandruff free, in which I occassionally use Panten Pro-V Relaxed & Natural Anti-Dandruff Shampoo to keep the dandruff problem from occuring again. I would recommend this product for anyone who have problems with dandruff flakes or who is trying to prevent dandruff flakes.

Relax! This Dandruff Shampoo Won't Dry Out Your Hair

By

from Chicagoland, IL

Comments about Pantene Pro-V Relaxed & Natural Anti-Dandruff Shampoo:

Any woman with relaxed hair knows that dandruff shampoo does a great job of solving the dandruff problem, but causes other problems of its own.  For instance, even when a dandruff shampoo claims to be "moisturizing" or "conditioning" it all too often does neither.  I can't count the number of times that I've solved an issue with flakes only to end up with hair that feels like straw.  **Pantene Relaxed & Natural Anti-Dandruff Shampoo** is the first product I've tried that effectively treats the problem without drying out my hair. This shampoo is formulated with a mix of vitamins and essential oils and is pH-balanced to keep hair soft and manageable.   I use this shampoo periodically to stay one step ahead of troublesome dandruff.

Like any dandruff shampoo, the solution works best the longer you use.  I didn't find that it eliminated the dandruff completely, but it does help me to control it when I have flare-ups.  The shampoo is fragrant, doesn't have a medicinal smell, and lathers up reasonably well.  There is no tingling when I massage the foam into my scalp, but that doesn't seem to hinder its effectiveness.  When I wash out the suds, my hair doesn't exactly feel silky or look shiny, but it does feel soft and manageable.

There is no companion "anti-dandruff conditioner" to use in concert with the shampoo, so the choice is to either use my regular conditioner or go without.  I choose to use my regular moisturizing conditioner; concentrating on the ends and avoiding the scalp area that I just diligently cleansed.

Overall, I think that this is the best anti-dandruff shampoo I've ever used on my relaxed hair.  Itching and flaking are controlled and my hair doesn't end up feeling stripped and brittle.  It's not perfect, but it's a big improvement over standard dandruff formulations.  The product is widely available at drugstore and discount retailers and it is sold in the same price range as its competitors.
