Pantene Pro-V Ice Shine Shampoo Review

I tried Pantene Pro-V a few years ago and it dried out my hair. Then about 4 months ago I discovered Pantene Ice Shine on sale and I thought that I would love to have shine like ice in my hair. So i bought several of the very large bottles, as they were very inexpensive at the time. It took about 2 months and I thought I was on my way to shinier hair... any day now... but instead it started to get EXTREMELY dry. Finally on Christmas Eve of this year (2008) I had to go to my hairdresser and have my hair cut very short because I was cutting off all the damage. My hairdresser says that Pantene puts wax in their shampoo to make it shiny in the first few months, but in the long run it ends up doing more damage. So she suggested I go to Sally Beauty Supply and start buying my shampoo from there since I really can't afford the $20/bottles at the salon.

My suggestion: if you are serious about the health of your hair, stick to professional products. Everything at the drug store will cost you more in the long run, the price is paid by the loss of health in your hair.
