My husband and I used to both love Pantene 2-in-1 shampoo however, something happened recently where whenever he used the product, his scalp would start itching and breaking out in red marks. I'm not sure if he developed an allergic reaction to the product suddenly or if Pantene changed their formula but he is now able to only use it once in a while or he has a sudden break out. This was somewhat disappointing since we both liked the product. It smells good and was effective on both of our hair types (I have baby fine straight hair and his is straight but a bit more coarse). I can't honestly say anything bad about the product itself, just the reaction that he's having to it. I wish I could find out somehow if they changed their formula or if this is a problem that he's just having a reaction to it. Overall, I can still use the product and I do however, I'm a bit reluctant to use it as often since I'm not sure if whatever issue he is having will become an issue for me so I'm using it more sporadically than I used to. Effectiveness It is very effective on cleaning my hair and making it feel silky. Scent We both really like the scent!

I've used lots of Pantene products over the years, and I've never been disappointed in them. However, this product promised shine but in my experience, didn't deliver it. What it did deliver was hair that felt heavy, flat, and just "meh." I do love the convenience of the shampoo and conditioner in one formula, but in this case, I almost felt like I got a bottle of all conditioner. It didn't feel like my hair was clean. I have never used any Pantene products that made me feel like I was actually weighed down, but when I used this, I did. The only bonus is that it does smell good, but then again, I've yet to smell or use a Pantene product that didn't smell good. While it was pleasing to the nose, the results were just not satisfying. Maybe it is just my hair type, I don't know. I just know that it's not something I'd use again, and not something I'd recommend to my friends. It may work satisfactorily to someone with short hair, but for long hair, I'd avoid it.

Overall this shampoo is a good shampoo and it certainly does give you fresh and clean hair. The built in conditioner is a time saver to say the least. However, I would not recommend using it on colored hair. It has a fresh scent that will not burden your nostrils and leaves your hair soft and shiny. I would recommend this for anyone who has virgin hair and likes to keep time wasting to a minimum. Effectiveness This product does do what it says on the bottle but I personally color my hair and I am not sure that it is designed for dyed hair. I t made my hair shiny but it leeched some of the color out as it did so. The conditioner element left my hair feeling soft and light and it was a great way of saving time. Scent The scent was nice and refreshing. I cannot say it was all that memorable but it definitely did not have an overwhelmingly fruity or pungent smell than can ruin some of the best shampoos for me. It also stayed away from the medicinal smelling, clinical side of fragrance.

I am, and have always been, a fan of Pantene products. However over the years, their products have changed, deviated from the original if you will. Pantene Pro-V Ice Shine 2 in 1 Conditioner is definitely one of the better products from Pantene, but when I first used this product 15 years ago, I would have given a 10 in the overall rating category. The product I used to use was purely a shampoo, not a 2 in 1. Perhaps this is where their place in the market slipped a bit. However in my opinion, shampoos with a built in conditioner, are never as good as two separate products. I appreciate that they are not the same price either - maybe that's why Pantene introduced the 2 in 1. Pantene in itself is a wonderful brand. It's affordable luxury for the majority of us. It is fantastic at leaving your hair soft, shiny and nourished and it smells beautiful. But I'd rather Pantene left the shampoo to the original formula and I would buy a separate conditioner. I will still buy the product, but I would pay more for the original formula.

I thought that the Pantene-Pro-V-Ice-Shine-2-in-1-Shampoo-Conditioner was going to be a great time and money saver since it is a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner. I was very disappointed with this shampoo and conditioner. It weighed my hair down and made it look like it was dirty even though I just washed it. I tried using it for several weeks thinking that over time it would work better and my hair would look healthier and not dirty but instead it felt like I was just getting a buildup on my hair which weighed it down and made it look awful. It also made it hard to curl. This shampoo was not cheap but I thought that since I was getting two for one that it was a good purchase but I was wrong. I even tried washing my hair with it every other day instead of everyday but on the days I used it my hair looked dull and dirty. My hair is fine as it is so I definitely don't need anything that weighs it down.

I have been a long time fan of the Pantene product. I normally do not like to purchase the 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner. I'm not sure if it is a mental block, but I never feel that the 2 in 1 give my hair a good moisturizer. But I was wrong when I tried this product. I purchase Pantene's 2 in 1 because it was on sale at the store and figured I could try it out. I proved myself wrong. This 2 in 1 deeply conditioned my hair, left my hair light and shiny, and deep cleaned my hair. As a mother of three and working full time, anything that I can do to make my getting ready routinue quicker I always try to take advantage of. The Pantene 2 in 1 shampoo cut out an extra step in my daily routine. I felt that in the winter months I would add an conditioner also to 2 in 1 because my hair would be drier. The smell of Pantene 2 in 1 is very freshing, light, and long lasting. I would recommend this product!

This was another shampoo that I bought because it was on sale and a brand name product. I thought it would be at least as good as our regular shampoo, but it turned out to be less than adequate. I like the idea of using a shampoo and conditioner in one, but it seems every time I try one, they end up being peculiar. This one also left our hair feeling a bit greasy. The rinsing of the product wasn't quite complete and when styling my hair with the blow dryer, I had problems that I usually don't with other products. The fragrance was kind of nice, but not really anything to write home about. It wasn't long lasting or unique. I don't want to make it seem like it was a bad product. It just may not work well for my hair. It seemed to be rich and thick and only needed to use a normal amount to get the right amount of lather for a good shampooing. I will probably not buy this one again either. It seems to be a fairly good quality shampoo and conditioner, but just not the right mix for my hair.

Overall, this Pantene product lives up to its label. I purchased this product for my husband to use; he likes it. His hair is very short and it works great for him, plus it's convenient since it's a 2 minute wash in and rinse off experience. He doesn't need to use conditioner with it, as it's blended in with the shampoo. I tried this product for my own long, frizzy, dry, and color treated hair. I had to use a separate conditioner with it, as the included amount was not enough for my needy hair. My hair felt as it does after using only a shampoo. There was no after conditioning feel, soft and easy to comb. Effectiveness Works to clean and condition very short hair, like men with 1"-2" length hair. Otherwise, it will work as a shampoo, but not as a separate conditioner would. It doesn't work as effectively (in my opinion) as a separate shampoo and conditioner does. Scent Has a nice, clean scent. Great for men or women who do not desire their hair to smell like flowers or fruit.

I have tried numerous combination shampoo and conditioning products, and this one is the best one I have come across. It has a "rich" scent, so it feels luxurious using it, and the lather is thick and nice. I didn't really notice my hair being any shinier necessarily, using the "ice" shine, but it did feel much softer and was easier to style than usual, probably thanks to the conditioner. My hair did feel a bit more weighted down and less light than usual. My thinking is that a separate shampoo and conditioner would be better, but for a combination product, this worked really well! Effectiveness I was actually expecting a bit more shine using this, since that was it's primary purpose. Although I didn't get shinier hair, I was very pleased with how soft and workable my hair was. I didn't have so much "styling" or bed head frizz either, which made my hair look better. Scent I loved the scent! Very luxurious and rich. Made me just close my eyes and relax and feel like I was getting the spa treatment!

Overall I'm not the biggest fan of two-in-one shampoos and conditioners, but as far as they go, this one isn't that bad. They're very convenient for traveling, you don't have to bring quite as many bottles with you, but they're not my go to shower product of choice. This is one of the better two-in-ones I've tried, however, it does a decent job at being both a shampoo and a conditioner. I find that it doesn't do as good a job as an actual separate shampoo and conditioner would, but it does a lot better than other two-in-ones. It provides a decent amount of shine to your hair so it does live up to the claim of its name. It suds up pretty well and I'm able to feel like my hair and scalp are clean after using it. I'm not crazy about its use as a conditioner though. I don't see that it provides any moisture and doesn't seem to condition my hair at all. Days when I use this I tend to consider myself skipping the conditioner all together.
