The only thing I love about Pantene proV is the fact it has a strong good smell other than that it dries out hair,makes it frizz and didn't see any benefits from using it

Pantene shampoos are the best shampoos you can get for the price. I usually use the Pantene Ice and Shine shampoo, but I bought the hydrating shampoo last summer because my hair was getting dried out from being outside too much. I started using the hydrating shampoo along with the hydrating conditioner. My hair started to look a lot healthier, and it felt a lot softer. Even my five year old noticed the difference in my hair, and he kept asking to pet my head. I know a lot of shampoos say they make your hair healthier, but they just mask it. This Pantene shampoo really made a difference in my hair that even my hair dresser noticed. After three weeks of using it, she asked me what I had been doing to it. When I told her it was just a shampoo, she almost didn't believe me. This shampoo really helps with the damage cause by my hair straightener and curling iron. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap shampoo with amazing results.

I have dry and fairly thin hair so thought Pantene Pro V Hydrating Shampoo would be the thing to try to improve the condition of my hair. Pantene Pro V Hydrating Shampoo cleans my hair very well but unfortunately I have found that it also leaves it feeling heavy and with absolutely no body. It advertises itself as leaving curls lively but instead my wavy hair was limp rather than lively. While I will continue to use Pantene products this one was not a success for me. Pantene Pro V Hydrating Shampoo had a fresh clean scent that was not overpowering. It was very pleasant to use with a little bit creating a full lather. I love Pantene products so I am sure this is just a case of not the right choice from Pantene's huge selection of quality hair products for my particular hair texture. I am sure others will have more success with this product but it is not for me.

I love Pantene Pro-V Hydrating Shampoo. It has a great scent and applies easily through my thick and curly hair. I don't have to apply additional amounts of shampoo to work through my hair as with other brands. I works well for short, medium, and long hair as I can attest to as I've had all 3 hair lengths while using this product. Compared to other shampoos I've used this is one of my favorites. Effectiveness I feel very confident in saying that the effectiveness of this shampoo is a nine. Again, it washes so easily through my hair which doesn't easily happen with all shampoos so I'm very happy using it. It always makes my hair feel very clean and soft. I think between the easy washing, clean aftermath feeling and softness, I'm a goner for this product. Scent This product has a wonderful scent. It's not over-powering at all. It is soft but it is strong enough to linger a bit. I'm not one for strong scents so this is a make it or break it deal, and I really do like this one.

I have always had a good experience with this brand of shampoo and the hydrating shampoo is just as awesome as others I have tried. My hair is long, thick, and straight. Therefore, it needs a lot of moisture in the winter. It was naturally oily growing up but now it tends to get really dry in the winter months. I am always looking for shampoos that will help moisturize my hair. This one did the trick. I used it on a daily basis and it was a great balance. It got my hair really clean and also gave me a nice, moisturized look. It wasn't oily but it was soft. It was also easy to brush out after I got out of the shower. It is a great shampoo and has a good smell. I would recommend it to those with dry hair or trying to fight brittle hair in the winter. Effectiveness This is really effective in moisturizing my hair. It helps me a great deal in the winter months. I would recommend it to anyone trying to fight off dry hair. Scent The scent smells nice. It is not what sells the shampoo in my opinion but it does not smell bad at all.

I would only recommend this product is you are looking to save money and aren't as worried about your hair. If you have a particular need, such as dry scalp, frizz, curls, damaged hair, etc, I would not suggest this shampoo. If you want something that does just enough and do not have special hair needs, this would work just fine for you. Effectiveness NOTE: If you have color treated hair, stay away from this shampoo! One week of using it after dying my hair, the color was stripped and destroyed. My hair is straight, but slightly dry and damaged. This shampoo left it feeling clean, but did not help with anything else. My husband, who has very short hair, had no problems with it. However, after using for about one month, his scalp became dry, which is the same problem I ended up having. Scent I would best describe the scents of this product line as ''funky''. Some smell pretty good, but most have an odd smell that I cannot describe. If you can call a shampoo scent 'artificial' I would say that is the best word to describe the smell. It left my hair with a strange smell that wasn't very pleasing.

I have used Pantene for years and have never been disappointed with any of their shampoos. The Pro-V Hydrating Shampoo is a great accessory to their long line of shampoos. I feel like my hair is healthier and it makes me want to wear it down more often to show that. Effectiveness Having used Pantene for years I have noticed a difference if I happen to use "another" brand for some off reason. I have found that using Pantene Pro-V Hydrating Shampoo leaves my hair feeling healthier and full of life. It tends to leave it "cleaner" longer and I'm able to go several days without having to wash it like I was having to do with other shampoos. Scent The variety of scents with Pantene are really pleasing. They aren't too strong or fruity smelling and you can appreciate the scents. Even my daughter tells me how nice my hair smells when we just kick back on the couch. This is coming from a 9 year old so I know the shampoo is definitely working!

This shampoo is very adequately named. I have dry, damaged, and frizzy hair, and this shampoo is so hydrating, it puts so much moisture back into my hair it's almost as if I put on a wig, it makes that big of a difference. I love the way my hair looks after first using this. It's soft and shiny, and so healthy looking. It doesn't have a specific scent, just a general shampoo clean scent. I like this so that it won't clash with whatever perfume or cologne you want to wear that day. This shampoo suds up very nicely, that's one problem I have with a lot of shampoos. I need my suds. This easily and evenly distributes throughout my hair. The one problem I have with this shampoo is that over time it gives me some product buildup at the roots. This happens with all Pantene shampoos no matter how well I rinse. If I switch to a different shampoo brand, this problem goes away. I never use two bottles of this in a row, but I keep coming back to it because I love the hydration it gives me.

Winter causes my hair to be dry and fly away. This Pantene shampoo fixed my problem. If you have dry hair that does not do well in the winter, you should try this shampoo. The shampoo has a silky and airy texture--something between sour cream and mayonnaise. I have long, wavy hair and it does seem like I need to use a lot of this shampoo to work it into all that hair. After working this shampoo through my hair and rinsing, right away my hair felt heavier. Once my hair dried, it felt thicker and smoother---no more problems with fly away hair. Effectiveness This shampoo fixes the problems I have in the winter with fly away hair. It does seem to add back the moisture I need for my dry hair. This shampoo leaves my hair with lots of body. If you have dry hair, I think you should try this shampoo to see what a difference it makes. Scent The shampoo doesn't have a strong scent, just a light, fresh scent that is a little soapy. It is very nice and makes me think the shampoo is working to clean my hair.

I suffer from dry, coarse damaged hair which is heightened in the winter months. Because of this my hair requires a deep cleansing shampoo. Pantene Pro-V Hydrating Shampoo is one of the best shampoo's I have tried. I use this shampoo all year round to great success. I use the Pantene hydrating shampoo on a daily basis to help restore the natural oils back to my hair. A regimented daily routine leaves my hair calmer and less frizzy when I blow dry it. This Pantene shampoo feels quite luxurious. It produces a nice, thick moisturizing lather that rinses out well. After some trial and error I discovered that just one wash daily was sufficient for me to receive the best results. Also working in its favor is the light fresh fragrance which I can still smell on my hair at the end of the day. I would most definitely recommend this hydrating shampoo to those that suffer with dry, damaged hair. These are the reasons I rate this a great buy and 5 stars. Thanks to Pantene Pro-V Hydrating Shampoo my hair has been restored to its once former glory, it is smoother and shinier than ever before.
