When our time limit was up on another internet radio site we started looking for an alternative. That’s when one of the girls told me about Pandora. “What is Pandora?” I asked. Pandora is an online way to listen to great music. But it’s so much more than that, and better than other internet radio sites you may have heard of. <p style="line-height: 1.2em; outline-style: none; outline-width: initial; outline-color: initial; display: block; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"> <p style="line-height: 1.2em; outline-style: none; outline-width: initial; outline-color: initial; display: block; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">What makes Pandora excel over all other internet radio sites? For one, you can make your own stations! You just put in an artist or song you like and Pandora will find songs that meet that genre, beats, etc. The only thing I don't like about the adding music feature is that it does not play the song or artist you picked right away. If you don't like a song Pandora selects, simply thumbs down the song and it will remove only from the list you are listening to. If it's one you really like and want to hear over and over, thumbs up the song. When you thumbs up a song they will add more music like that particular song. Beware if you accidentally add a song you didn't mean to it could ruin your whole station. You can keep thumbs downing the music you don't like but it will take a while to weed out your mistake! I have learned this from personal experience. There are very few commercials on Pandora and when there is one, it's just one commercial not a bunch. There's even less commercials than AOL Radio. <p style="line-height: 1.2em; outline-style: none; outline-width: initial; outline-color: initial; display: block; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"> <p style="line-height: 1.2em; outline-style: none; outline-width: initial; outline-color: initial; display: block; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">Pandora is completely free for 40 hours a month and you can only skip so many songs. If you go past 40 hours you have the option of paying a fee and having unlimited music. You can go in and manage your different lists and see what you liked and what you didn't. There's a lot more options that I haven't even explored yet on this site! <p style="line-height: 1.2em; outline-style: none; outline-width: initial; outline-color: initial; display: block; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"> <p style="line-height: 1.2em; outline-style: none; outline-width: initial; outline-color: initial; display: block; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">Just a fun note: No matter what you put into you station, Pandora loves the Shins and the Decemberists and will add those to any station just because. It's pretty funny. <p style="line-height: 1.2em; outline-style: none; outline-width: initial; outline-color: initial; display: block; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"> <p style="line-height: 1.2em; outline-style: none; outline-width: initial; outline-color: initial; display: block; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">What I really like about Pandora is that I can just listen to different genres through there list or I can make my own list. If I'm in the mood for country I play my "Boots On" station, if it's Friday I listen to my "Yay Yay Friday" station. With Pandora you're your own DJ and can make your stations to fit your moods and you!
