Pandora Radio Review

Pandora.com is a great website that helps you find music that you might like.

Here's how it works.
You tell it a band you like. Then, it goes to work finding you music that you may like.  It quickly and smartly finds other similar bands/songs that have common characteristics. Then, they play you each song. (like the radio) Along the way, you can give the songs thumbs up or thumbs down to make it smarter. (kind of like the GMAT.)

So, what do I like about pandora?

• You tell it what you like 
• You can learn about musicians you have never heard of
• It is totally free
• It is super easy to use (even I use it!)
• If you dont interact with it for a while, it automatically goes on pause
• They cross genre. So, if you picked for example a country song, you wont only hear other country songs. They mix it up.

While it has many pluses, there are a few things that I dont like about pandora.

• If you dont like the sequence of songs, you cant skip too many in a row (part of their agreement in getting the music for free)
• You cant listen to a song twice
• You cant choose a specific song to listen to

I used to bring my Ipod to work every day since we work in an open office-- I needed to drown the sound a bit. As soon as I discovered Pandora, I scrapped my ipod. I can now listen to all the music I want to as long as I have an Internet connection.... which means, I can always be on and always listening thanks to Pandora.
