I have used this Panda software for almost a year. I am not happy with it at all.

1) I started having mysterious reboots and system crashes immediately after installing the program. This happened about 1 or 2 times a week for about a month or so. I removed other software (the mypoints toolbar) but the toolbar was not the problem. I am convinced it was the Panda software. It seems to be settled now and I have not had a reboot incident. Panda never answered my complaint or provided any help.

2) This anti-virus software does not know how to handle cookies and sometimes panics because of a cookie. It declares all cookies to be dangerous virus/spyware and will remove them. I often remove cookies I need or want to have from many sites I use such as my bank.

3) I recent got a panic notice from the Panda software and it forced me to reboot. There was not log information or other data about what kind of virus or spyware it was reporting. I still have not exactly determined what the problem was. The only data Panda provided was short line saying implying a virus/spyware incident and a time. It made it look like the email I was reading had a virus. It did not. I suspect the panic was due to a cookie set by the site I was using before I read the email. This was a useless panic attack.

4) The update system is garbage. There is no way to postpone an update. The only way is to set it to manual and then it will not notify you there is an update. Why would I want to postpone? It can take over 30 minutes to update. The update ties up the computer so it is either frozen or running in slow motion. Even McAfee did not cause this problem. It mostly  updates the instant I try to read email or connect to a site. Then, I have to wait an absurd amount to time for it to finish. The problem is not my computer. I have used other av s/w and this was not one of the complaints about them. A friend has a notebook with 1 GB ram and it still can take about 30 min to update while tying up the computer.

5) Customer service is useless. If you are lucky enough to get an answer to your email, it will be nonsense and it may not have anything to do with your email. You might send an email telling them Panda will not let you run software XXX. The answer might be: Is your computer turned on? This is what the call "help."

I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I plan to replace it as soon as I can.
