Well, let me begin with the caveats. I should know by now that there really is no such thing as a free lunch. So I should have taken the assertation that they'd give me $5 just for signing up with a couple of pounds of salt. Now, they really HAVE credited my account with $5 -- that much is true. Can I access it ? NO. I have to wait until I've earned $100 until I get it. They pay nothing for just reading emails -- you have to buy into the alleged surveys to "earn" any money. And, it's just the usual non-surveys. You have to sign up for an offer which will charge you a monthly or annual fee, which is normally more than your "earnings".
I know that there are real surveys out there which pay genuine money for my opinion, and just for my opinion. Panda Research has a few of the normal "chump-change" survey groups. And, they'll "pay" you a dollar or two for joining those groups. I say "pay" because if those are all you sign up for, you'll never hit that $100 that you actually receive.
I think I am primarily irritated with them because they snuck in under my radar. I have learned to look carefully at those "free" offers that put in the fine print "after completing offers". Now I have learned to look at the payout box before I bother to respond to any of these "$5 for signing up" offers.
