A Fine T.V.

5

This purchase was our first flat television, and after nearly three years it's still a great t.v. I am not a very particular person when it comes to image quality, but wanted to see a definite improvement from our old projection screen t.v. and this was just what we were looking for. As for the size, 32 inches has been fine for us, and I've never wanted a larger screen. Any larger, and I, personally, would feel like a glutton. The only reason I'm giving it a nine is because the buttons on the side are sort of wobbly, and it takes a few tries to get the angle right. Picture Quality Comparing this television to its competitors at the time we purchased it, the image quality was a bit better. Movies definitely look great on this unit. As an example, when I watched "Finding Nemo" for the first time on this television, I realized the clown fish had scales, and weren't just orange. Sound Quality Sound quality is fine, and leaves nothing to be desired.

The Panasonic Vierta TC-L32X1 is a fantastic TV

This is my first LCD TV that is bigger than 20" and it has done a great job thus far. After one year of owning it, I'm still very content with it. I'm no technical expert, just the usual casual user. The picture clarity and contrast look great, and unless I was forced to compare side by side with another television, I would argue it looks fantastic. The viewing angle is also excellent, as a family, we can all watch from a wide variety of angles and don't feel that the quality decreases significantly from any reasonable angle. The television has 3 HDMI connection ports which is important to me since we have a PC, PS3 and Xbox all connected, although one negative is that the television only supports up to 720P, so I suppose we can't take advantage of the other hardwares higher capabilities. That would be one reason for me to upgrade in the future, and as another user, consider another product instead of this one. A minor annoyance this has (that at least I haven't found a way around) is when switching between the different inputs, I must press the input button on the remote or TV sequentially to get to each input which is annoying given there are 6 inputs total and the response time to the press of a button doesn't acknowledge quick presses. So if you are on input 3, and need input 2, you will have to press it multiple times just to get to it. The menu implies that you could get to 2 by perhaps pressing 2, but it hasn't worked for me so far. In any case, if you can get a good deal on this television, most likely used, as it is likely discontinued now, I would absolutely recommend it. If you're in the market for the newest and best, it definitely could be beat with the biggest drawback being the lack of 1080P.

A good quality, good value second television

With all the values on very large HD televisions, I wouldn't recommend this set for a primary TV unless you are very strapped for cash, but this is a great TV for a bedroom or other smaller room.  It's not 1080p (at 32 inches, its nearly impossible to tell 720p from 1080p), and it's a standard (not LED) backlit LCD, so contrast isn't great, but the picture is perfectly nice for casual television viewing, and even DVDs and Blu-Rays, if you're not obsessing over a perfect picture.  It's solidly built and attractive, and has one of the easiest to use menu systems and remote around (my former favorite brand, Toshiba, has really dropped the ball on the latter).  At a reasonable price you get top brand TV with decent picture, a good array of inputs and outputs (although, irritatingly, there's no analog audio out--you would have to send the optical out to an external receiver to get external sound), and a nifty built-in SD card slot that shows pictures as slide shows (and plays MP3s).  A great value set.

best buy in the price range!

After doing exhaustive research on televisions in our budget, my husband chose this tv.  We wall-mounted it to keep toddler fingers at bay.  We love this tv!  Despite being mounted directly across from 2 large windows, there is only minimal glare on the screen, and only on the sunniest of days.  Although the screen minimizes glare, the frame does not, so there is still a bright reflection of our window around the screen, which can be a little distracting when watching a dark scene, but not a major problem.  We also find the resolution to be great.  Watching other televisions now is annoying because they just seem so unclear, especially the flatscreens from big box stores or in hotel rooms.  The one thing I have noticed that's not perfect is an occasional weird sort of echo or reverberation of sound, as if the sound is coming out from 2 different spots, one of which isn't as clear as the other, making the sound sound off.  Overall, though, this is a fantastic tv for the price, and we highly recommend it.

Panasonic Viera has a beautiful clear picture

We bought this TV to replace an older TV in our basement.  Our son just got a PS3 and the old TV didn't do it justice.  I went crazy reading reviews and I read a lot of good reviews on this TV and they were right!  I love this TV!  The picture is crisp and clear.  It was pretty easy to set up and it's very easy to plug all your componets in the back as everything is labeled clearly.  You can customize the labels for the inputs on the TV and say whether it's for "PS3" or "Wii" or "DVD player".  Another feature that I like is that it has a slot for an SD card, so you can take pictures with your camera and then take the card out and watch them on the huge TV screen.  They look really great on here too.  If you want music to go along with the slideshow, it also offers a few choices of music. The ONLY things that I'm not crazy about is that on some shows, you can't hear it too well because of where the speakers are.  90% of the time the audio sounds great though, and I guess if it bothers you that much you can get some external speakers.  I don't think it's necessary though. This is a great, versatile TV that has a lot of features for a not so expensive price.

good lower priced tv from a major trusted brand

A tv set perfect for a smaller room and its was affordable compared to other named brands. This Panasonic viera 32 inch LCD.I didn't need a high resolution because I was not going to use it with HD, but since I'm now using it as a backup tv until my hd big screen is repaired it has a nice picture with HD.The flesh tones read a little pink but it has nice blacks and clear sharp edges. While watching sports it has great respond time the the action for smooth viewing. The best feature with this set is its an energy saver and hardly generates any heat. The set up was easily done under ten minutes. It honestly took longer to clear and clean a space for it than it took to set up this TV. This tv had one PC hooked up and tow HDMI imputs.so you can game on it if you like.Ths only miro flaw is that the speakers are not as good as I expected but thats because for now I have it in a bigger room. When this tv gets moved to the bedroom it should have no problem with the sound. Overall for the money its a great LCD set.

I love this TV in my bedroom

In looking for a TV for a bedroom, decided to upgrade an old RCA with a larger screen and a flat panel LCD HDTV. This TV is perfect. The Panasonic Viera TC-L32X1 32 in. HDTV LCD TV has a super sharp picture with vivid color. It is lightweight and easy to move also. And the hookup with a DVD player was a snap! Can't say enough good about this TV - it is my new favorite companion.
