Just works.

5

I really enjoy my Viera television from Panasonic, the picture quality has never left anything to be desired, it just works, I don't have to do a lot more than turn it on and pick a channel. Picture Quality Excellent picture quality, I've never had an issue playing anything in high definition. Sound Quality While I actually have an aftermarket surround sound system hooked up the the television, I sometimes use the remote to separately control said sound system and I'm forced to use the analog system on the television. It works just fine! Durability My kids have actually been known to shoot Nerf darts right at the television, from both close and far ranges, it has never done any damage, thank goodness. Design Easy to mount, easy to maneuver, looks nice. Performance The television does everything I want the television to do and it plays every high definition channel that I have in excellent quality with no issues. I've had the television for a couple years now and it's very nice, has withstood my two children and two moves so far!

Great TV but puts off heat

4

The picture and sound quality on the Panasonic Viera is excellent. We have had this flat screen plasma TV for a few years now and it has held up very nicely and has yet to look outdated. In fact, it looks expensive and just as good as the newest TVs that are coming out. The only thing I do not like about it is that it puts off a lot of heat. If you have a small bedroom or living room, this might not be the best choice (especially in summer) because the room will get hot quickly if it is not big enough.

Quite pleased with Panasonic Viera

4

The Panasonic Viera was never on our list of top models we were considering when replacing our old television, but because of a great sale at our local store we decided to give it a try. We're very pleased with this model! Picture Quality Picture quality is crisp and frame refreshes are seamless. I don't think I can tell the difference between this model and a higher priced version. Sound Quality The sound quality of this TV is more than adequate. When we're watching movies we usually use our stereo system sound anyway, but watching live TV is more than good enough. Durability We've had this TV for some time and so far not one problem experienced. I'd say that the durability is top notch. Design The design is like most other TVs, so nothing special. The sleek design fits with any decor, so we have no complaints. Performance We're really pleased with the performance so far and have not had a moment of regret after purchasing this product.

Panasonic Viera TC-P42G10 42 inch HDTV Rocks

4

Panasonic Viera TC-P42G10 42 inch HDTV is the media display hub in my house. It has been on almost every waking hour since the purchase One year ago. It serves as Wii, PS3, DVD Pandora, Youtube, and some limited news hub. When connected to quality audio receiver and speakers, the performance rivals more expensive alternative media display. Note this unit was purchased in Feb. 2010 during the famous "Black Issue controversy"-- currently being settled in court. i have not been able to notice issue with Black or dark colors fading to gray after prolonged use. In fact the black are Too Black.. almost blending with perimeter of display. Ample HDMI, Sd Card slot, VGA input, several Component input all inputs are spread throughout TV to provide multiple plug in points on TV(rear, left, right).. big plus for me. A few cons: the speaker are lousy in a large room, might be ok in small space, the fans on the top rear of unit can be noisy - when sound is set to zero.

We love ours!

5

We are thrilled with our purchase of this flat panel plasma TV! Prior to shopping for this purchase, we used the internet and educated ourselves on the differences between the LCD and plasma TVs and the general concensus was that plasmas yield a better picture in rooms that are dark. Since we were intending to use this in our bedroom, we tentatively decided on a plasma before we initiated our search. Good thing we had a fairly good idea what we wanted before we got to the store, because the sales people really weren't much help and didn't seem to have as much knowledge as we did. They sort of seemed to geared us toward the LCDs (for some reason), but we still preferred the picture quality of this particular TV and decided upon it. This was 2 years ago and we are still most pleased with our purchase. The colors are vivid and the definition sharp. I cannot recommend this product highly enough.

Hard to choose when there are so many choices

3

It's hard to say whether this is a great TV or just an OK TV.  I think the problem is that there are just so many choices out there.  The best thing you can do is go to the store and look at it next to another TV that you're interested in.  Take into consideration that each TV is hooked up to a highly degraded signal since they usually all share the same feed, but it's better than nothing.  I would say either get a Panasonic or one of the LG or Samsung LED TVs.  This was definitely a cheaper route and hte picture quality is great.  i have some issues with it though.  the bezel is pretty big and its not a flashy TV like those glass-lined Samsungs are.  I think this is more of a geek's tv.  Its like a nice car that doesnt have a mercedes badge on it for other people to know its nice.  one thing that bothers me is the USB and SD slots do not play video.  They only show pictures.  also, the internet apps are kind of dumb compared to LGs.  Netflix is a nice bonus but everything else is a waste of time.  more of a gimmick than anything.

Love the Panasonic Viera, just don't tell my husband

5

My husband bought this television earlier this year. I wasn't very happy with the purchase because I was fine with the tv that we had and I wanted to use the money for something else (like putting it toward a new mattress.) However, he had researched tv's extensively & had decided that this was the one that he wanted to get.  When he found a great deal on it, he bought it. Our living room  isn't very large so I was worried about the size, however, it fits fine. it really doesn't seem  to take up that much room.. The picture is beautiful, it is very clear and the colors seem  very realistic and true to life. I use captions a lot & he uses the feature that prevents burn-in as a precaution. One thing that he really like about it is that the black is a true black, and not a dark grey. I'm  waiting until spring for my new mattress, & if my husband complains about his back, I tell him  that he can sleep on the tv! :P  So please don't tell him  that I secretly love it.

Love my panasonic.

My husband brought this TV home two years ago. He told me he was buying a new tv, but never once did he say it was going to be a 42in. We have a very small living room, so I was not too happy when he brought the box in (by himself). However, I now wish he had bought BIGGER! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this tv. The picture is beautiful, even two years later. It is super easy to use, even for someone like me that still doesnt know how to turn on the wii. It has access points for memory sticks and thingys of that nature. My husband still loves the television as well. Last year my brother bought the 50in version of this tv. His living room is even smaller than mine, but because the tv is so attractive itself, it doesnt look bad being so big. It looks like a giant picture frame when it is turned off. And again, I cannot say enough about the picture when it is on. It is clear with brilliant color. We have two kids, so we watch a lot of cartoons, and they just look fantastic. I really am considering putting this tv in the bedroom and getting the 50in for the living room. It is the best tv we have ever owned!
