Panasonic Plasma + lots of inputs = solid television

5

This was my first HDTV I purchased myself.  Having roommates, I was always able to utilize theirs instead of buying one myself.  But this allowed me to get one of my own, and I have not yet been disapointed. First off, the TV has a great picture.  This is in the living room and the TV is about 10 feet away from where you sit and it is perfect for this environment.  The images are crisp and clear.  The colors are bright and vibrant.  All in all, when watching sports, regular television or movies - when the set is showing HDTV, it has a great picture. The other major feature that I love about this TV is the number of inputs.  Right now on the TV, I have hooked up a cable box, 2 game systems and a WD TV Live.  And this doesn't come close to taking up all the inputs.  The TV has inputs for 3 HDMI inputs, 2 component inputs, 2 composite inputs.  The only thing is really lacks is a input for a computer (VGA or DVI). This TV does lack a lot of the new bells and whistles of newer TVs, like internet apps (YouTube, Hulu, etc), but I have those through another device. All in all, this is a great TV, and you can find really good price breaks with it too.  I highly recommend it to friends and family.

Great Panasonic Product

I purchased this television about a month ago, and let me tell you, "IT"S INCREDIBLE"! I have never owned a plasma tv before and was a bit skeptical about purchasing it due to the biggest plasma "myth", if you will, which is the burn-in problem. However, after researching for a few weeks on this issue, I learned that burn-in is virtually irrelevant in today's plasma tv's unless you abuse the tv. It's essential to make sure you don't pause a plasma tv and leave it on the screen for hours at a time. This will most likely create either image retention or potentially cause the burn-in. After having the tv for approximately a month and calibrating it, the picture is nothing short of incredible. There is no motion distortion that is inherent with lcd's. This is due to the 600hz of the Panasonic plasma. Sports, movies, tv shows, everything looks great. I hear that plasma pictures only get better with age, and I hope this is true.

Amazing

I LOVE this tv! My husband and I bought it about 6 or so months ago and put it in our master bedroom. The picture is amazing and its the perfect size for a bedroom. (It would probably work really well in any room though) The sound is perfect and it doesn't have to be turned up very loud to be able to hear anything. I love watching BlueRay movies on this TV because you can see every tiny detail. The color is impecable. The only suggestion I have for anyone who buys this TV is to put it in a room that you can control the light. (We have never had trouble with the light with our TV, that is just what we have been told a million times when it comes to Plasma TVs) I think this TV will last a very long time. It looks and feels like it is worth every penny, its not one of those TVs you buy and can tell just by looking at it that its cheap.I completely recommend this TV to everyone who wants a high quality tv.

Panasonic makes a fantastic plasma TV!

5

We bought this TV as a replacement for our old bedroom TV. I have had an HDTV pretty much as soon as they came on the market. This plasma makes our old 55" rear projection 1080i look like a 50s Black and White... the quality difference is that drastic. Pictures practically pop off of the screen. The quality of the screen is amazing. I also have a Panasonic Blu-Ray player that works together with this TV fantastically. It is narrow and doesn't take up a lot of space. It can be mounted on the wall which I've considered doing to regain the top of my dresser. It does seem to gather static electricity (and therefore dust and animal hair) more than a typical "tube" TV or rear-projection does but I'd guess that all plasma TVs would do the same. It does emit some heat but not enough that makes it raise the temperature of your room in summer. I wish that the speakers were a bit louder on digital channels... on regular cable channels (not digital) the stations are very loud compared to the digital channels.
