I received this Panasonic Television as a gift for Christmas several years ago and the picture looks almost identical to the day I took it out of the box. I own several middle class LCD televisions and the Panasonic blows them away. I really love the picture quality that plasma tube televisions provide. The picture quality is just breathtaking. The colors are so vibrant and rich. No pixelation at any range and no change in picture quality regardless of viewing angle. Most importantly the color black is perfect and there's no blur when watching sports. The sound is slightly above average, but with a good sound bar it takes the viewing experience to another level. The down side to this television is that it is heavy, but it's still easily mountable. As long as you don't plan on moving the television around then it's no problem. I would recommend this television to anyone in the market.

We bought this TV for our movie room because we read that it does great in low lighting. I couldn't agree more! The image quality and clarity is amazing! I even prefer watching movies on this TV over larger TVs that do not have as good quality. The only complaint I have about the TV is that we noticed the clock is starting to burn into the TV. Most likely this is our fault, but we are pretty careful about not leaving our TV on with still images onscreen. The TV sound quality is good; however, we still use a surround sound system supplement. I also love the sleek design of this TV; its thinner and more sleek than many of the other plasma TVs we were looking at before purchasing this one. Picture Quality The image displayed when watching TV and movies (DVD and Blu-Ray) is always crisp and clear. Sound Quality Even with just using sound from the TV (we usually use our surround sound), the sound is great. You can hear everything well even when the volume is turned low. Buy it because the picture is clear, it is simple to use and figure out, and the sound is terrific! It is modern looking, yet very light so that it can be repositioned easily if needed. Durability We have owned this television for while and have not had any problems. It seems very durable. Design It makes my living room seem so modern! We do not have a Fmaily Room anymore, so this TV is a great focal point as you walk into my house.

My father bought a new Panasonic 42in Plasma HDTV a couple years back. This TV is amazing. The picture is super sharp and clear. The colors are stunning. There is very little streaming or distortion during action scenes or sports. There is a little bit of glare on the screen from the window and lights, but it is not distracting. I love how easy it is to share photos. There is a panel in the front that makes it easy to insert an SD card to view pictures on the big screen. There is also a front HDMI input for connecting other devices. It is simple to connect external devices either to the front or to the back inputs. This television does get quite warm and puts out a good bit of heat. The Geek Squad member who installed everything initially for my father said that we first needed to let the tv "break in" for about 6 months then have a technician come with a computer to do an official setup where the TV would be optimized. It would no longer feel as warm while running and would be more energy efficient. My husband and I love this TV so much that it was on our short list of finalists when we purchased our flat screen.

This is a review for the Panasonic TC-P42S2 HDTV. Of course this is a plasma television but don't let that deter you from a great HDTV that will be awesome... ... provided that you put this in a room that isn't too bright. Now, all HDTVs suffer from glare problems to some degree. That's just a fact of life. But compared to higher end LCDs, I would say that the glare on the TC-P42S2 and all of the other TVs in the S2 line are prone to glare issues, especially from natural sunlight. Otherwise this TV is amazing and movies look great. I haven't had a problem with image retention as of yet. Apparently the Panasonic testers actually break these TVs in before they ship them out. I hope that's true. Maybe that does something to it? In terms of input lag, I put in Modern Warfare 2 on PS3 and I haven't seen any issues. For gaming I solidly prefer plasmas over LCD TVs.  Although this TV does have 1080p, I think that feature is sort of wasted on such a small screen. I think these TVs are also being phased out soon so this might be a good one to pick up on sale somewhere.

This Panasonic Plasma TV has great performance and sharp shadow detail. The primary colors in THX mode are accurate has can reproduce 1080p properly.  The antireflective screen feature is nice to have when looking from side to side. The 3D picture quality is superb which also includes 3D glasses. The con for purchasing this Panasonic Plasma TV is its high cost and lost of performance over a few months. The grayscale in THX mode is nonadjustable. There are few streaming services and programs than Sony and Samsung. Lastly it consumes more power than LCDs and including plasmas as well.** **With both 2D and 3D sources, Panasonic plasma TV can produce outstanding overall picture quality. I like this plasma tv because alot of feature is contained in 2D. It beats the first-generation 3D TV, and it includes 3D glasses. With the lack of availability of 3D content and the requirement to purchase expensive glasses for every viewers, Panasonic 2D tv makes it a good reason to purcahse over 3D TV. Lastly, the really awesome feature about Pansonic plasma tv is that the image goes into the tv and doesn't pop out at the audience like the Samsung. I really like the glasses because they to fit over my prescription glasses.

The Plasma TV is really nice to use when i am watching movies with my family. I also like to use it when playing with my kids as they play their video games. This plasma tv is sturdy and i feel safe having it around my children without any worries about it falling over. The tv is great for when i am watching high definition movies. When watching the movies, the graphics are great and they are very bright. Setting up the plasma tv was easy and the instructions were easy to understand. I also like to use this plasma tv to view my pictures when i take pictures using my digital camera. This plasma television is on the higher side of the price range and it does everything i paid for and more. the remote is very easy to use and the batteries in it last a few months before i have to replace them. the dvd and dvr player was easy for me to set up on this tv too. there aren't too many cords on this plasma tv so that makes it look better when it is set up.

This may be the best HDTV I have ever seen, everytime I walk in the room and see it, It just amazes me. Buy this TV you will not regret the decision, I'm telling you people, this is the way to go. This tv right here. Buy buy buy it. I mean really go out and find the nearest tv store, and tell them to order this one, Because you will NOT accpet any other television. Because this is the only tv your eyes should have to rest on, The color, Remarkable. The sound Great. The size, well I wouldn't ask for it to be any bigger. Please rate my review. I think it's been the best one written on here in a long time. There are no Cons about this Tv or review. ONLY PROS Cause it's Pros who own this TV. I said it. All people should own this TV. Buy it as a gift. Best gift ever, You can't go wrong. So in conclusion, This is maybe the best TV ever. Buy it asap before it's gone. I doubt there will ever be a tv as good.

I use this television primarily to watch sports, watch blu ray movies, and to play PS3.  This TV is awesome the contrast ratio is amazing.  I would take this over an LCD or LCD led (edge lit) any day.  This plasma is crystal clear and i believe is a great value.  It may not be the lightest of thinest but it is very functional.  The HD picture is amazing especially in 1080p.  Because it's a plasma you don't have to worry about the "blur" found in LCD tv's.  I think plasmas are better because you don't have to buy refresh rate in a plasma and you don't have to buy contrast ratio those are standards that come in a plasma and not in an LCD.  This plasma has plenty of HDMI's at three.  Another item that i like about plasmas is that you can view it from any angle and not have the picture quality go south like you do with lcd's.  The only downside i see with plasmas is that they have a glare problem in sunlight but mine is in a dark room so i doesn't matter.
