My wife and I got our Panisonic iron from my mother-in-law when we got married. We don't have to use it all too often but when I have had to use it it works everytime. I've used some irons that take forever to heat up, but this iron heats up to full heat within 4 minutes. It comes with a water resevior that hold more than enough water to do at least ten clothing garments. There are three different settings for the water spray depending on what type of clothing you are ironing. This iron has a medium size to and a light weight which makes it very easy to use. One of the things that I like about this iron is the retractable cord. on many products those cords do not work very well, but on this iron it works just fine .

The Panasonic NI-552R Iron with Auto Shut-off works very well. I HATE ironing, but I don't mind it as much with this iron. The old iron I had use to leak water and get my clothes wet, while I was irong them. The Panasonic heats up super fast, and is ready to go about 10 seconds after plug in. I use the lightweight iron mostly for ironing my work shirts. It takes out any wrinkles, and creases. I have never accidently burned my clothes either. Just one swish over the fabric, with the panasonic iron, and your clothes will be nice, neat, and wrinkle free! I can safely leave the iron sitting on the countertop with out worrying about it burning the surface, or causing a fire. The Panasonic is pretty much fool proof, if you forget to turn it off, it will turn itself off! I have not used the iron for steaming, but imagine it works well. This iron is extremely durable, easy to clean, easy to fill with water, and works great!! I will never get another one...this thing seems like it will last forever! Love it.

This has been a great iron. It heats up fast. The steam works well. I love the spray, where you can spray a little water on the fabric. A little water application really helps with stubborn wrinkles. The water reservoir is clear plastic, so you can easily see how much water is left and when it needs to be refilled. This also makes it much easier to fill the water. I once had an iron that did not have a clear reservoir, and every time I'd fill it with water, I could not tell how much to put in, so the water would overflow and make a mess.  The retractable cord is fantastic for storage. Once I get near the end of the cord, it does not work as well and I may have to pull a little bit out and try the retraction again a few times, but most of the time I am able to get all the cord in the iron.  We've had this iron about 8 years, and had no problems with it. Also, it has some great features that make it easier to use. I would definitely recommend it to others.
