Panasonic Microwave Oven Model # NN-SA647B, 1300 Watts —

When you don't have many -- or sometimes ANY -- other people to cook for, you tend to use your microwave a lot.  There are so many great frozen entrees out there -- some of them very nutritious and tasty -- and of course reheating leftovers plays a prominent part even when things aren't tight economically.  (Personally, I love leftovers so much I sometimes am tempted to cook a meal and just shove the WHOLE THING into the fridge to reheat the next day!)

You go along year after year -- sticking things into your microwave with wild abandon -- and you begin to take it for granted.  The day when this faithful kitchen friend gives up the ghost is a cold dose of reality but sometimes something good comes out of it, as it did a few months ago when tragedy struck in my kitchen in the form of my old microwave rolling over and dying.  If it hadn't been for that terrible event, I might have never ended up with my Panasonic Microwave Oven # NN-SA647B with 1300 Watt High Power and Inverter Turbo Defrost and I am already beginning to wonder how I ever got along without it!  This is technically a "Family Size" oven (1.2 cubic feet) but is still a perfect fit for my limited counter space.  It heats beautifully (in fact, I automatically set my heating times to less than the directions specify) and how ABOUT those nine automatic functions?!!!!!

Food browns beautifully and I have even baked COOKIES in this microwave!  I can slice off a couple refrigerated dough Pillsbury cookies, plop them onto a microwave safe plate, and bake them until they are about half done.  Remove from the oven and the cookies will continue baking a few seconds to a nice chewy stage as they cool on the plate.

My Panasonic Microwave Oven # NN-SA647B with 1300 Watt High Power and Inverter Turbo Defrost apparently was on sale at Trage Hardware in Forest Park, Illinois, the day I bought it as it cost less than $100 and was available in either Black or White.  It weighs only 24.3 pounds but works like a champ!

According to the desperate thread of discussion about this on the boards now, everything will supposedly be alright next week. At least I have SOMETHING there. Some poor souls trustfully deleted their pictures and now can't put a new one there and have those sinister-looking shadow things that are REALLY creepy. My poor little pumpkin -- it was orange and I don't know why it scanned in like that. Oh God, I hope my scanner thing isn't wearing out!

We had a guy at the newspaper who spilled a Coke in one of those old-time monster computers (1970s), reportedly did $200,000 worth of damage and was... you guessed it ... FIRED.
There's got to be a way to get that awful purple pumpkin off your page. Keep trying, kiddo. It's almost time for Christmas art.

I'm not kidding about that oven! It really will brown things (though some things not as well as the conventional oven would) and I have baked two or three cookies at a time in there! You noticed the picture was gone, huh? Well, funny you should mention that because all of us who made the dumb mistake of putting up a seasonal picture for Halloween have spent the better part of this weekend (or at least some of it) trying to put our old pictures back and NO LUCK! What was working perfectly a few days ago suddenly is not working now. Of course, it was traumatic for me because I'm one of those people who just won't give up -- if something hasn't worked even though I've tried it five times in a row, I should realize that something is wrong but NO, I just keep on trying over and over and GETTING VEWWY FWUSTWATED! We had a guy at the Bank who (legend has it) got so frustrated with his computer that he threw it out the window -- WITHOUT OPENING THE WINDOW FIRST! I wasn't there to witness it but this is what they tell me and if that is true, then I KNOW HOW HE FELT! Well, I'm going to close now and go to bed. Take care!

Please explain to me how a microwave can brown things. I love this turbo-defrost lingo. Sounds like your oven might take off and go into orbit sometime. P.S. Where is my favorite picture of AnnaBanana?
