Flawed design; manufacturer low life

Worked ok for nearly a full year before suddenly dying in the middle of a shoot. Ok for outside shots; really awful in low light. Panasonic refused warranty work by saying the main board had "corroded" and i must have dropped it in a lake. The camera was never within a hundred miles of a lake. ... read full review »

About as close to an SLR as you can get for a lot less money.

A bit bulky and heavy to carry around when on long trips; but, worth the effort for the pictures it'll capture for you, with a little practice - you'll be pleased with the results, once you learn to use ALL of the numerous features of this great camera. And there are a multitutde of them. You can only become prficient by practicing using the camera and varying the settings for your experimental shots. When you get the hang of it - you'll love it's finished products - good pictures.
