For a small point and shoot camera, the Panasonic Lumix FX01 is a great camera. It has lenses by Leica and enough built in features to make anyone a better photographer. I bought it before our trip to the Carribean last year and it has never let me down. From family pictures to scenery and night timed... review »

The Panasonic Lumix is a great camera for a teen or for someone not serious about digital photography. The photo quality is poor, but the camera is easy to use and relatively inexpensive. The price has gone down about $50 - $100 in the last year.

The battery life is great. It comes with a rechargable...

I bought my Lumix DMC-FX01 over a year ago, and I have not regretted it. The best thing about it is that it has a Leica DC Vario-Element wide angle lens. It's the equivalent of a 28 mm lens for a 35 mm camera. Normal digital cameras have the equivalent of a 38 or 40mm lens. This means that you can get more into the shot if you want. You can always zoom in a bit to get it back to 40mm. I saw that Leica sells the same camera under the Leica name, but that one costs $$$$$.

I would recommend this camera to everyone who are looking into buying a digital camera. It is user friendly and a very stylish camera. The battery life last pretty long, but always a good backup to get another battery. Overall, this camera is worth the price I paid for.
