I would rate this product as a 4. It is a great quality camera that takes decent quality photos. I purchased this product when it first came out a couple of years ago. It has been with us on our family vacations to both Cancun, Mexico and Punta Cana, Dominican Repubic. It took pretty photos of the beach and cute family photos. We use this camera all year round. I really do enjoy using this camera. It is smple to use with just one press of a button you can take a picture. Image Quality It takes decent quality photos. Performance Its overall performance is good. Ease of Use It is very easy to use. One press of a button takes a picture. Durability It is very durable. Battery Life The batteyr life last suprisingly long. Portability It is very portable and thin.

Santa brough us a great DMC-TS2 Panasonic Lumix camera last year, which we took on vacation with us to the beach. We were a bit nervous about getting it wet, even though it is a waterproof camera, but while we were taking pictures at the shoreline, I dropped it right into the ocean. DUH! Well, it turns out that the camera really is waterproof! How bout that? The camera emerged completely unharmed, and worked perfectly. we took a few underwater pics, but I would not necessarily recommend it for underwater photography, as the visual accuity is tough to get underwater with this one. We also found out (by accident...not mine this time!) that is is extremely impact resistant, even on hard surfaces(say for instance...a parking lot) and it is quite easy to learn to use. My husband is into the special lighting and effects (and there are many) while I am a basic auto point and shoot person. This camera worksgreat for both of us. My point and shoot shots are great, and his fancy-schmancy shots are great too...and lots of fun for him to play with as well. Diggin this Panasonic! Image Quality The pics taken with this camera are true to color, and have excellent sharpness and detail. Even when using underwater, the images come out crisp and true. Performance No problems,ever with this camera. Battery life excellent, underwater use, great, no complaints at all. Ease of Use A bit confusing (since there are so many available settings), but fairly simple to catch on if you either read the manual or take time to read and figure out the options on the camera itself. Durability So far, so good. It has been dropped a few times, taken to the beach several times,and used underwater many times with no ill effects. We have left it in cars that get extremely hot, and also during the winter, under freezing conditions. Battery Life Excellent! Portability Great! I recommend a cover for the glass on the camera to avoid scratches, but as long as you have that applied, you can carry this in a pocket easily.

We were looking for a camera that not only took great pictures, but also HD video as well. After reviewing many cameras, we decided on this Panasonic model. We were a little leary about buying it as we personally didn't know a lot about Panasonic cameras, and it wasn't one of the brands that everyone talks a lot about. After realizing it had all the features we were looking for (and more) we took the plunge and ordered it. It got great reviews, and after having my old camera ruined when my seven year old dropped it on the concrete, I was especially excited about the extra features of shock proof and water proof. As soon as we got it we took it to the local water park and tried it out. It took fabulous pictures and held up even with the water splashing on it. We haven't been brave enough to willingly try out the durability when it is dropped, but so far it has exceeded all of our expectations of all the features. Love it!

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2 is awesome.  It is waterproof, shockproof, and freezeproof.  I bought this camera as a christmas gift and the very first day I put this camera into a fish tank.  There was no leak in the case.  I took the picture and the quality is very good.  This camera is 15.1 megapixel.  The picture quality with regular pictures are amazing.  If you are looking into a waterproof camera you should get this camera.  Also if you go to a waterpark there will be no more purchasing disposable water camera and the the pictures will be much better.  The zoom on the camera is 15x.  I have a 2 year old son and he can do pretty much anything to the camera it will still operatre normally.  He throws it around and it does what it is suppose to do.  When I go on vacation I will take this camera for the beach and take underwater pictures of the fish.  I am very please with the camera and I am not worried about damaging this camera.
