The buttons on the phone quit working prematurely!!!

Panasonic - (KX-TG1032S) Phone —
This model of Panasonic phone is the second Panasonic I've purchased. The first Panasonic I purchased developed a keypad problem shortly after the warranty ran out. The majority of the buttons simply quit working. Frustrated, I decided then that my next phone would NOT be a Panasonic, but my husband convinced me that Panasonic is a reputable brand and that I should give them another shot. Now on to this current model... I've had this phone for a little over a year and now the buttons are not working! My husband called Panasonic yesterday and the customer service rep that answered the phone said, "Now aren't you the gentleman that just called about the buttons?" Apparently this is a common problem for Panasonic! The Panasonic rep then went on to say that there is nothing that they will do and that maybe we should buy another brand next time. Great customer service, eh? I think that at over $100 a pop, these phones should hold up for over a year or two. I will NOT purchase another phone from Panasonic!!!
