I really love the Panasonic brand. I swear by my Panasonic point and shoot and have convinced many people to buy the same one that I have. So, when we were shopping for a video camera, I thought I would stick with a brand I know and trust. The price was great, especially with such enormous zoom and memory. We initially bought it for our wedding and honeymoon knowing that we would soon be having kids and want to use it all of the time. It does an OK job, but I was expecting better. The video quality just isn't any better than my point and shoot, so the camcorder feels quite irrelevent. There seems to be no point in carrying an extra camera and giving me something else that I have to remember to download off of. I was expecting the video quality to be more crisp. I don't love the video on my point and shoot either, so I was really disappointed to find that this one isn't any better. Good picture quality is very important to me. This camcorder has left me wishing that I spent more money and maybe went with a different brand. Maybe Panasonic is great with point and shoots, but not so much with video cameras.

I love this product! It is easy to use takes great pictures and videos no matter where you are. The zoom is amazing, I was honestly shocked how well the zoom worked, the pictures do not get distorted at all. It is extremely easy to either hook up to your computer to save your memories or hook up to a TV to watch your videos on your TV. Bring Pro is it has an internal hard drive you do not need to worry about DVDs or saving the content on a memory card. There is a memory card slot so you have the option to do so also. The quality of the pictures and videos are excellent! It has an option to record videos in a web mode for easy upload to Youtube. Its sleek design makes it easy to carry aound, even on an every day basis. It has an excellent battery life. There a wide variety of accessories for this product including wide-framed lenses and so much more. I would recomend this camcorder to anyone who is in the market.

I absolutely love my Panasonic SDR-H80 (60 GB) Hard Drive Camcorder!  I've had it for 7 months and use it regularly.  The 70x zoom is much higher than most other comparable comcorders I found.  It is easy to transfer images from the camcorder to your computer whether you are using the hard drive or you are using an SD memory card.  I really like that it allows you to use it as a still photo camera in addition to the camcorder.  The quality of the still photographs isn't as good as a regular digital camera, but it is a nice option when I only want to carry one camera with me for an event.  The video quality is wonderful and I like how easy it is to view the video after the fact.  It is easy to erase, but not easy enough that you would do it accidentally.  It has a good amount of digital storage space and a pretty good recording time with each battery charge.  I would definately recommend this camcorder.  One thing I really liked is the 3 color options you have without having to pay extra.
