Panasonic - 6.0 digital KX-TG1033S Cordless Phone Review

The Panasonic cordless phone set is the third I've bought. The first two were VTech and GE. Those were so bad that I had to return them. Then I went to Amazon and got the Panasonic KX-TG1033 which is a set with three phones. One is on the base unit that plugs into the phone jack. The other two are units that have small chargers and can plug into any wall outlet. This is nice in a home where there are only two phone wall jacks and not very conviently located.

The problem with the other brands were that that had static and very little volume and that was on both ends of calls. I hated to even get or make calls on those phones. Panasonic is clear as a bell - really. Now and then I think I've lost the connection, because there's just no noise on the phone line. Also, the volume is perfect - just like talking in person.

The units are about the same size as other cordless phones, but the buttons are a tad larger and easier to see with bright numbers. I like that, since I need reading glasses with small print. The size and lighting are excellent on these buttons. Don't need the readers which are generally goodness knows where in the house.

The answering machine is simple. There's play, stop, and erase. Good. I hate when they make stuff complicated for simple tasks. Storage is only 16 minutes. Oh well. That's plenty here, and people don't need to talk half an hour on your machine - now do they?

Another big plus is that the Panasoic trio phones use AAA rechargeable batteries. The last two cordless phone sets I bought had odd battery pack things. They had to be pre-paid here and ordered in. If the battery was not the problem, tough. I much prefer the standard batteries and also that they can be charged at home. All cordless phones should have normal batteries.

I'm glad I took back the other two phone sets that didn't work well and got a good set. They price wasn't much different either. Panasonic phones work much better than those others, and I don't mind picking up one of the three phones now that I can hear what's being said.
