I own many Pampered Chef stones and am very pleased with how well they cook a wide variety of foods from cookies, to French fries to caseroles. I especially love the bar pans. One of the stones I own is the smallest bar pan, which is perfect for fixing a small meal, such as one or two chicken breasts. When baking with metal pans, the bottoms of my cookies often overbrown, but this is not the case with the stoneware; cookies, biscuits, fries, etc are crisp, but not burned. I had one stone that got a small crack in it when my son dropped it on the floor. Pampered Chef replaced it with no fuss at no cost, not even for the shipping. The rep did say that it is easier to do a replacement, if you have the original box, so I recommend that when a stone is purchased, that you hang on to the box. I have a metal carrying rack for my very large, deep baking stone, but I find it is just as easy to lift the stone out of the oven with or without the rack. They are extremely easy to clean. They make excellent gifts for all occcasions, especially for bridal showers and house warming parties.
