The Pampered Chef Stainless steel 5-Piece Cookware is a heavy-grade stainless steel, so it heats quite quickly and evenly. It does take a while to cool off, so you should watch what you're cooking to ensure it doesn't overheat. All the pots and skillets have stainless handles, so they can be put in the over or under the broiler. Even though they are metal, the handles typically stay very cool, so they are easy to lift off the stove without pot holders. The 2 lids are glass with stainless handles and fit very snugly.
I purchased my cookware after hosting a show, so I was able to buy the set as my half-priced item, which was less than $250. The equipment has a lifetime 1-time replacement guarantee, and Pampered Chef is excellent about honoring their guarantees for any reason, although I do not anticipate any problems with the cookware.
I was concerned when I first used the skillet to cook ground beef, because the inside looked etched and dirty. I scrub it with baking soda after each meal, and it looks like new, even after a year's worth of use. If you can get these items at a reduced rate, it is definitely worth the money!
