Great for mixing

5

We often use these mixing bowls for mixing smaller amounts of pancakes or for mixing certain muffin mixes that need to sit in the refrigerator overnight to cool before baking. We can mix the batter easily in the mixing bowl, and the measurements on the side make it much simpler to know how much is being mixed. The lid seals it pretty well to put it in the refrigerator, and the pour spout makes it simple to pour out the next day. The pour spot is especially helpful when pouring small amounts out instead of pouring the entire container at once, such as for pouring individual pancakes or individual muffins into a muffin tray. We were given this smaller bowl as a gift, and the one downside is that I would rather have a bigger one. Especially for pancakes, we sometimes need to mix two separate batches, mixing and cooking one before mixing the second. This is not a big deal since we're usually mixing the batter in the morning right when we're making them, but it does make the entire process of cooking breakfast take a bit longer. Ease of Cleaning The glass mixing bowl can go in the dishwasher, but the lids cannot. But the lids are pretty easy to wash by hand.

Kitchen Staple

Pampered Chef Batter Bowls should be a staple bridal shower gift everywhere. This classic design is hard to improve upon. The measurements are embossed into the glass, so they will never wear off. The smooth and sloping interior makes it easy to incorporate all of the ingredients, so much better than a flat-bottomed mixing bowl. The lid makes it easy to pop something into the fridge, like pancake batter, for use another day. This small size seems to be the one that I always reach for when needing to combine dry ingredients before incorporating them with the wet ingredients for a cake or cookies. Ease of Cleaning Dishwasher safe, top or bottom rack. The lid should stay on the top rack. Durability I use mine all the time, even with a mixer and they've held up well. Design My only complaint about this bowl is the shape of the pouring spout. It is an act of accomplishment to pour liquid from it without it running down the side of the bowl and into the floor. I've learned to dump it all out quickly to avoid this problem, whenever I can.

ALWAYS GETTING USED!

5

I love my small batter bowl and use it for many purposes. However, after buying one for my sister this year, I discovered the lids on the newer small batter bowls are not microwave safe, which was a huge disappointment. She won't get near as much use out of it as I do.

One of my favorite Pampered Chef products!

5

The small batter bowl is one of my favorite Pampered Chef products! It is one of the first Pampered Chef items that I have received. It is great to put leftovers in, since it has a lid. The only issue I have with the lid, is that it's not dishwasher-safe. If you put it in the dishwasher (which I made that mistake), it warps a little. My lid still works by staying on the batter bowl, you just have to tug it a little. The trick with the lid is that if you want to remove it, you need to pull it off where the handle is. To put it on, you need to put it over the spout and pull it on. This is great to mix pancake mix, dips, sauces, anything. It holds up to 4 cups. With the spout you can pour easily, without any messes. The bowl, itself, is dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe, and freezer-safe. Another definite must-have!

I love the Pampered Chef Batter Bowl!

I love Pampered Chef products - they generally have high quality items that truely deliver!  The Small Batter Bowl is no exception!  I use it frequently - several times every week.  Mine is actually a few years old, yet it's never failed me.  The see-through glass makes it easy to measure and figure out if it's evenly mixed.  Many times have I lifted the bowl up and found that the batter wasn't mixed through on the bottom.  The lid, while not air-tight, is very helpful for short storage.  The heavy glass is very sturdy - it doesn't crack or break easily!  I have dropped mine from the counter to the area rug, and it has remained intact (I wish I could say that for my automatic coffee caraffes.) What I love about this size, is that I can mix the dry ingredients of a recipe in advance, place the lid on it for later, and use it when I have the chance.  It's also the perfect size for making sugar water (using the microwave) for iced tea or lemonaide.

Excellent tool for smaller mixing jobs

We have 3 of the **Pampered Chef Classic Batter Bowls** in our home, so I wondered why I'd need a small one?  I figured ordering the **Pampered Chef Small Batter Bowl** would be overkill, until I found myself having to take out two of the larger bowls at a time just to handle small mixing tasks. The **Small Batter Bowl** has the same durability and quality of the **Classic Batter Bowl**, but is perfect for smaller tasks.  Perhaps you're mixing a small portion or need a smaller amount of ingredients.  Maybe you've only got a little bit left to store in the fridge or freezer.  Whatever your quart-sized needs are, the **Small Batter Bowl** can help. Still oven, microwave, refrigerator, and freezer safe, so whether you're mixing pancake or brownies or baking a white chocolate lava cake (in the batter bowl) you're covered. The Pampered Chef Small Batter Bowl is heavy for it's size, but still lighter than it's bigger brother (Classic Batter Bowl).
