Love this pizza stoneware!

5

I've never used Stoneware before, and was pleasantly surprised with this pizza stoneware. It is large enough to stretch the pizza dough out to the corners, and after Ice chimed it and put it on my stove, the hot Stoneware continues to keep the pizza hot. It cooks evenly, the crust is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I know this will last a long time and I'm so happy with my purchase, because I love making homemade pizza & this makes it easy and looks so elegant!

Great for making pizza

I really like Pampered Chef products, and I have a lot of their stones that I use for cooking everything from cakes and brownies to pizza and chicken. I really like the Pampered Chef Large Round Stone because it's convenient to use when you're making any type of round item. The food comes off the stone easily, and the food does not stick to it. These stones are not washed with soap, rather you just use water and a plastic scraper to get any food off the stones. These become seasoned after using them over time, so it makes food taste better the longer you have the stone. Although these are a little expensive, I think they have a lifetime guarantee. Since I never had one break, I have not had to deal with shipping a stone back to the company to get it replaced. Ease of Cleaning These are cleaned just by using water and a plastic scraper to take the food off the stone. You don't need to use soap, and some people say soap ruins the stone. I use soap on my stones pretty often, and I never noticed a difference in baking or taste of the food. Doesn't Stick Whenever I bake on this stone, I don't have to worry about food stickign to it.

Perfect for Pizza

I bought the Pampered Chef Large Round Stone at a Pampered Chef party. I love making homemade pizza and this has quickly become a go to product in my kitchen. I live in the middle of nowhere so pizza places do not deliver here and frozen pizza is disgusting. My family loves pizza and with this large stone I am able to make professional quality pizza for a fraction of the price and none of the hassle! Performance It works beautifully. The pizza cooks evenly and does not burn on the bottom. Ease of Cleaning I would not suggest putting this in a dishwasher. However despite cleaning it by hand, it comes clean very easily. Durability It has held up to years of use with no problems. Design I love the size of it. I can make a huge pizza and it still fits on the stone. This is an important feature for me because I have a large family to feed. I no longer have to cook separate pizza and have everyone eat in shifts. Doesn't Stick I love that I do not have to put oils or grease on the stone which makes cooking on it a lot healthier than other pans I have used in the past.

love stoneware

The Pampered Chef Large Round Stone is perfect for baking a delicious homemade pizza. Stoneware heats evenly and cooks the pizza crust perfectly crispy. I also cook delicious cookies, biscuits and bread sticks on it as well. Because the heat is distributed evenly in this stoneware, it gives your foods a much crispier crust than a traditional baking sheet does. Pampered Chef have their stoneware very reasonably priced and they are very good quality and very versatile. They are also very easy to clean. it's important not to use soap on them, because soap will ruin them. Just use the included scraper to scrape off any stuck on foods, then just rinse it off with warm water. That's all there is to it. What I like about this particular stone is that it has 2 handles to lift it by, which is handy. If you have never tried baking on stoneware, I really suggest you do so. You will be amazed how easy it is to get the perfectly crispy crust on your pizza and breads.

Love the cooking of the stone, but not the mess

I have had this cooking stone for over a year. We got it for our wedding, and have used it every Friday since then for a pizza night. Before we received it, I had never used a pizza stone in my life. I feel like it has been a good addition to our kitchen collection and a good introduction to me on how to use stones in cooking. The stone has been perfect for cooking pizza- it's easy to roll the dough out on the stone, easy to pull it out of the oven with the handles it comes with (so you don't burn yourself!), and easy to remove the pizza itself from the stone. The only negative aspects of it are cleaning and how much it cost initially. Most pizza recipes call for corn meal to be placed on the stone so the dough doesn't stick to it, and then having to lower the stone into the oven with corn meal on it makes a mess inside the oven. The stone itself is also difficult to clean. You are not supposed to use soap since the stone would absorb the soap into itself, so I don't feel like it gets thoroughly cleaned after each use. Overall, though, it has been useful and fun having a stone to cook with.

Pampered Chef's Large Round Stone Makes Perfect Pizzas

5

I went to a Pampered Chef party a number of years ago and decided to purchase the Pampered Chef Large Round Stone #1370 due to the fact that my family loves pizza. I have been disappointed in the crusts that I was able to get from pizzas at home, so I thought I would give this stone a chance. It really worked perfectly. It is great both for pizzas that I make homemade (crust, sauce and toppings) as well as the frozen variety's). This pizza was also relatively inexpensive, especially compared to those you can purchase at specialty cooking stores. I also like the fact that this stone is very easy to clean and it has also stood the test of time. I've had it for over 10 years and it still works exactly the same as the day that I purchased it. I would highly recommend this pizza stone for home cooks who are looking to achieve restaurant quality pizza in the comfort of their own home.

Excellent Pizza Stone

I miss this Pampered Chef pizza stone. I was given on as a present and had it for several years until I moved and I was concerned about moving it across the country, and gave it to my sister. Now I need to get a second one. This pizza stone is an awesome item to just keep in your oven, especially if you like to make homemade bread. It works excellently for pizzas as well. Performance This stone works well to help cook pizzas quickly and get crusts that nice crunchy outside, without sacrificing soft chewiness in the center. This is also an awesome stone for a free form loaf of bread. Just toss on some corn meal and slide the loaf off on top of it and you are good to go. Ease of Cleaning The stone seasons with use, so it gets rather dark, however this does not seem to affect the taste of the items baked on it, so I think it is due to the make-up of the stone itself and not to any defect in the area of cleaning. I do think that greasy things can be a little tougher to get off. Durability I had mine for several years and my sister still has it. It is holding up well for her. Design I do prefer a square shape actually for a baking stone, but this one is still fine, and that is really a matter of personal preference. Doesn't Stick I use cornmeal on the stone frequently to prevent sticking, so it works fine.

My Pampered Chef Round Stone cracked in half in the oven!

2

I may be the only cook on the face of the planet that's not thrilled with Pampered Chef products but I really have not been impressed with the ones I've had. I love my Large "Pizza Stone", while it lasted! The features that I really liked a lot were that it kept the pizza nice and warm long after it was out of the oven, it was easy to clean and very easy to use the pizza cutter to cut all the way to the edges of the pizza. What I didn't like is that I had only had it about 2-3years and it cracked in half while in the oven one day with a pizza on it! Bummer! Yes, I know Pampered Chef has a nice warranty, but what I didn't know is that I needed to keep my receipt forever to be able to use the warranty. So, I was out one pizza stone - and I was quite put out for as much as the thing cost. So, I've never bought another. Incidentally, I called the consultant I bought it from and she said that this is not an uncommon occurrence. But, without the receipt there was nothing she could do. Moral of this story: KEEP YOUR RECEIPT!

Pampered Chef Round Stone: Love It

5

When I first ordered Pampered Chef's Large Round Stone, I figured that it would be something to only use for baking pizzas at home. However, since then I have found that it works really well for so much more, and is a much more versatile piece than I originally thought. This baking stone has been used over and over again at our house for cookies, crescent rolls, and biscuits, in addition to pizzas. Pampered Chef claims that this baking stone helps food to bake evenly without sticking and burning, and this is all quite true. When I am baking more than will fit on this sheet and have to use a regular baking sheet alongside my stone, the difference between the two is apparent. On the regular metal sheet, the baked goods stick. If I leave them a little too long, are brown at the bottoms. Not so with the baking stone! The food does not stick, and the bottoms are not brown. It really does an amazing job for baking. This stone is really easy to clean up and store. Food easily comes right off with no scrubbing required. Great product!

I thought this was going to be great :(

This product was a HUGE disappointment. I hate to say that, because I have gotten a few other things from Pampered Chef and been happy. I am a pretty simple person, things don't have to be fancy or anything, but I want to be able to get good use from them. First of all it was a little smaller than what I hoped it would be. It is ok for making a medium sized pizza, but I have a large family with five children and I had to make 2 pizzas just to get us all fed. Second, it just didn't feel like quality. The metal rack that comes with it was very flimsy and it was extremely hard to grip. You place it underneath the stone and then pick it up by the handles, but there isn't much clearance for your fingers and I nearly burned myself several times. Finally, and I guess what really sums up this whole review, my stone cracked in the oven. I had had it for maybe 2 years and used it off and on. I used it in my oven at temperatures no higher than 425 and it cracked into several pieces. The use I got from this product just didn't equal what I paid for it. There are many other more superior choices. Ease of Cleaning As long as you follow the directions it's really easy to keep clean. Design The metal handle doesn't offer enough clearance to get a good grip on this extremely hot product.
