Pampered Chef Large Round Baking Stone - 1370 Review Summary

The Pampered Chef Large Round Baking Stone - 1370 makes home baked foods turn out better cooked on clay than on metal sheets say kitchen product reviewers. Steph42678 says, "The pan is a little expensive, but it is high quality." Weno1974 says, " All in all it's one of my favorite kitchen tools." Some cons to this highly ranked baking "dish" are that it is not dishwasher safe and it is heavy to lift. But while the Pampered Chef Baking Stone is marketed for baking pizza, home cooks say that anything that can be baked on a cookie sheet can be baked on a Pampered Chef Stone and with better results.

It seems like every woman in my neighborhood is selling something, and appearances at neighborhood "parties" are usually more of an obligation than anything else. But when I heard a friend was having a Pampered Chef party, I couldn't resist going. And while there, I was equally drawn in by Pampered Chef's...

Sure, Pampered Chef is a great name, though I always feel like I'm paying more for the name than the product. For Christmas we got Hartstone Pottery baking stones as a gift. WOW! First, they are dishwasher and soap safe--which makes my Pampered Chef stone go to the back of the line for use! The 9 x 13... review »

I love the Pampered Chef Pizza Stone because it is really versatile and makes baking so much more fun because your baked goods come out perfect.  I use this to make veggie pizzas during the week and it is so easy to use.  I just roll the dough and place my toppings on the dough and bake, it couldn't be easier.  The dough browns evenly and doesn't stick to the pan.  The pan is also great for baking cookies because they come out crispy but still moist and soft.  I have also used this for rolls and garlic bread and it works amazing.  The pan is a little expensive, but it is high quality and... review »

I got my baking stone about eight years ago and still use it constantly. I don't make a lot of pizzas, but cookies turn out perfectly every time. There are some great recipes in the instruction book as well(the fruit pizza is wonderful). The newer ones come with handles which must be very helpful because the stone itself is a little awkward to get in and out of the oven. It does get very hot and takes some time to cool down. Hint: Always let stone cool a bit before putting another round of cookies or another pizza on it and in the oven. All in all it's one of my favorite kitchen tools. Pampered... review »

We use our stones so much they are a lovely black and brown color.  When they say you cannot burn stuff on stones, they do not lie.  We've baked everything in and on our stones.

When I started selling Pampered Chef, this product was in my "kit".  We starting using it immediately as we eat a lot of pizza in this house.  We tried it without preheating the stone and preheating the stone.  It seems to work the best by preheating it at say 475.  We also tried it with cornmeal on the stone and that also gave satisfactory results.  The darker the stone became, the better it worked.

We have used it for cookies, bisquits, breads and even drying apples!  My husband likes to leave one in the oven all the time because it is easier for him to get at it.  We do have two of...

This is a great product that everyone should have in there kitchen.  I have this and the rectangle baker.  I love both products and use them for everything.  It is very simple to use.  I do reccomend getting the optional metal rack to make getting it out of the oven easier.  When washing it make sure you do not use soap.  Soap will ruin the stone.  It is the only thing that will ruin it.  To wash it you simply use the scrapper to scrap off any food residue and then wipe it or rinse it with hot water.  Thats it.  Its naturally nonstick so you do not have to use a nonstick spary (however...

I love all of my Pampered Chef baking stones.  I use them a lot and have never burnt anything on one of them.  I especially love to bake cookies on the stones, as they do not get overdone and hard.  The cleanup is easy too, just don't use any soap on them. The only problem with them is that they are a little bulky to store.  I keep them in the boxes and stack them in a cupboard.  They are a little pricey, but well worth the extra money.  I also love the recipes that come with the products purchased.  Most of the recipes are easy and delicious.  If I am invited to a Pampered Chef party,... review »

The Pampered Chef Pizza Stone is the most awesome pizza stone I have ever owned. I have tried cheaper stones and none of them can hold a candle to the Pampered Chef stone. I have found that to make the "perfect" pizza, heat your oven to the highest setting (mine heats to 550 degrees). I then use a boxed pizza crust mix, add toppings and cheese and bake on the stone for about 10 minutes (or until your particular "doneness"). I have one of those tabletop pizza makers that turns the pizza under the heat...I thought that was the best until I bought my Pampered Chef Stone...now the old pizza maker... review »

I do love my baking stone. I use it for pizza, cookies, and biscuits. It cleans up well and is easy to store. I wish it wasn't so heavy. But I guess that is the definition of clay. What I don't like about it is that fact that it discolors. The Pampered Chef catalog actually talks about the nice coloration over time. To me it just looks stained and dirty. When something is clean I want it to look clean. I am glad to have it and wouldn't give it up for anything. I got it as a gift but I would have bought it for myself. It is a good price.

I received my Pampered Chef baking stone as a gift. I have used it time and again, each time with great results. Even though it is not dishwasher safe, it's a breeze to clean since it only needs a damp cloth to wipe it off. I really love using mine! And yes, it's pricey----but when considering purchasing a baking stone, you must think of it as an investment. This "investment" will pay off for you each time you use it by producing quality results with whatever you bake on it!

I bought the Pampered Chef Baking Stone from a friend at church who was selling for her school.  This clay baking stone is worth every dollar I paid for it.  Not only do I bake pizza on it, I also bake biscuits which turn out golden brown in a lot less time than baking sheets.  I couldn't do without it and plan on buying other sizes.

I love the pampered chef pizza stone.  I use it not only for pizza but to bake crescent rolls and cookies.  It makes the best cookies, they come out crispy on the bottom.  I also have the sqaure stone baking sheet.  It is a very useful item to have.

I love this stone!  Be sure to buy the optional handles if you buy the stone, it will make it a lot easier to take it out of the oven.  This will get your pizza crisp and cooks evenly.  My favorite thing about this stone -- it will keep your pizza hot, until your done with dinner.  Great for reheating left over pizza or delivery/take-out pizza as well, keeps the crust on left overs crisp, too.
