My Pampered Chef Cutting Edge Food Chopper is so versatile that I use it without the rubber cover and chop directly on my Correll serving plates because I hate having to drag out my huge cutting board. By spreading the food out on the plate, I am able to lift the chopper, chop, and then move it to the next pile of food and chop some more without having to put the food in the chopper compartment and placing the rubber cover on it. By not using the rubber cover and moving the chopper over different piles of food, I am able to chop huge amounts of food without ever filling up the chopper. I am able to chop up boiled eggs, all produce, vegetables, meats, and more. My cutting board won't fit into my dishwasher, but my Pampered Chef Chopper fits into the dishwasher easily without taking up much space in my dishwasher, and my chopper comes out clean and unharmed each time I use it. It also takes up less space in my cupboard than a food processor, and it's lighter and less expensive than a food processor. I am able to control how fine the food is chopped by pressing the chopper handle more for a fine cut, and less for a more course cut. The clear plastic cover allows me to see the courseness of the food as I chop it. I bought my chopper from my neighbor who sells Pampered Chef products about five years ago, and it still works like new. The Pampered Chef Cutting Edge Food Chopper is undoubtedly my favorite, versatile and most used kitchen gadget.
