A cool concept.

The Pampered Chef Cookie Press is a great idea, but the execution is poor. It works with only a certain texture of dough. If it's too soft it'll stick and if it's too hard it won't come out. The dough does look perfect, but it's not worth it for the amount of effort it takes to make it work. It also takes away some of the homemade feel to the cookies. I give Pampered Chef a 10/10 for creativity, but a 6/10 for execution.

I initially bought this cookie press after having cookies at a Christmas party, where the person had used a pampered chef cookie press to make them look so perfect. when i received my cookie press, i was so excited. however, my excitement did not last long. the cookie press was hard to assemble, and the cookies did not come out perfect looking. i also thought that the product was hard to dis-assemble. Ease of Cleaning The product was hard to take about and i felt as though there was still dough remnants no matter how many times i washed it. also, the press is not dishwasher safe, and washing it multiple times by hand can be very frustrating. Design Based on my issues getting the product to easily assemble and disassemble, as well as produce evenly wonderfully looked cookies, I would say the design of the product was not very user friendly. the product seems like it could be designed more effectively.

The pampered Chef makes great Christmas cookies.

I only use the pampered chef cookie press to make Christmas cookies but it always does a great job. Plus it was a gift so I did not have to pay for it and that truly makes it great. I wish I could find some more use for it though as I never seem to use it other than for Christmas cookies. I guess I just ain't that much into baking and I like using this better than the old fashion way of rolling out the dough and using cookie cutters. I use to do that with my mom as a kid and it was always a mess which you think would be funas a kid but no since I always had to clean up the mess. Which is why I am glad someone gave us the pampered chef cookie press otherwise I would not make Christmas cookies at all. I do not want to clean up theat old fashion mess. The pampered chef makes the cookies just as good with way less mess. If this one breaks though I am either going to have to get another or stop making Christmas cookies. I think it be best to get another.

Absolutely love the Cookie Press by Pampered chef

I got this at a party around the holidays and boy what a difference this has made in my kitchen! I had my doubts that this cookie press would do anything more than just keep my hands a little cleaner but I was wrong. If you like having perfect cookies that are round and even. You will love the cookie press. Cookies come out looking beautiful and very professional. There are no more oblong shapes or wedge high cookies. These cookies are round and beautiful. My favorite part about this cookie press is that I figured out very quickly how big my cookie roll should be to get it inside the press (almost frozen even). It works great. You just get your dough inside -- doesn't matter the kind -- and go to town. You can adjust the amount of dough you want out and can adjust for the size of the cookie. There is no more rolling out by hand and using various cookie cutters that may leave indentations on the top of the cookie. These come out perfect every time. The draw back is for the clean up. I find that it is hard to get the inside canister very clean. There are times that it comes out great, other times it is sticky and dough remains inside and hard to clean. The stainless steel center works great. I have had it now for about 2 years and it looks brand new (minus the smudge on the plastic canister that I can never get out). It is extremely durable and well-made. I would recommend this cookie press to all of my friends. It makes a great gift for a baker. Even an experienced baker, loves to have things made a little easier sometimes. I've put it in a gift basket as a housewarming present. I get rave reviews. I did find it a little more expensive than some of the presses that I have seen at the stores. I do think that it is a great product for the money and probably longer lasting.

Terrible cookie press

1

I have been to several Pampered Chef parties and have always been happy and satisfied with my purchases. I have the Pampered Chef can opener, measuring cups, mixing bowls, baking stone and several other items. I have always wanted a cookie press and figured that the Pampered Chef cookie press would work great. I was wrong. This was a few years ago, so maybe this is an older version (I noticed another reviewer said the same thing). I tried using several different cookie doughs (including 2 of the recipes that came with the cookie press from Pampered Chef) and all of the doughs turned out to be too thick to go through the cookie press. I couldn't squeeze anything out and ended up just hand rolling the dough every single time I tried to use it. It was a waste of money in my experience.

I have owned a few different brands of cookie presses in my life. I have had trouble with all of them except this one. I have come to think that many cookie presses work really well only with the recipes that come with the cookie press. I think it has something to do with the material that it is made to and how the cookie dough can stick to it or not stick to it. The Pampered Chef cookie press is the only cookie press that I have never had trouble with no matter what recipe I try. The press is made very well. All the pieces feel like they will last a lifetime. very strong and securely fits together. I really like the different variety of shapes that come with this press. It has many shapes that I think is only available with Pampered Chef. I would say that the box it comes in does hold it all together very well. BUT for such a big and important item I would think that it could come in a container that is not made of cardboard. It is sturdy cardboard but I would prefer something else.

Pampered Chef cookie Press is really nice

I have had my Pamperd Chef cookie press for awhile and I just love it! It has been fun for the whole family. I will have to admit that it can be temperamental at times as far as the dough not coming out properly but we can almost always get it working for us, what sometimes works for us if the dough does not come out because it is to soft we put the cookie dough in the freezer for a very short amount of time to stiffen it up and this usually gets it working. The cookie press comes with several recipes but the classic spritz cookie recipe is our very favorite. My press came with 16 different discs that include pumpkin, flower, umbrella, tree, butterfly, shamrock and more! There are a couple discs that I can just not get to form a cookie at all but even though the shapes do not always come out perfect the classic spritz cookies are so good to eat and my kids have a lot of fun trying all the shapes every time we make them. the press comes apart easily and is dishwasher safe!

When you get the knack of using this thing, it's great!

We've just passed the time of year for Christmas parties, cookie exchanges, and baking, baking, baking!  My kids and I love the Pampered Chef Cookie Press and have used it (and previous models) for years to create fun cookies that taste delicious and look super-impressive.  The dough can be colored - or not - and decorated with sprinkles, candies, etc. then baked for pastry-shop-quality treats.  The only issue I have with this press is that until the first few are ejected from the machine to the cookie sheet, it seems like it has trouble getting the size and shape right.  I usually just do a few "test" presses before pressing them onto the actual sheet I'm using for my baking.  I'm not sure if that problem is exclusive to Pampered Chef or it's just a general cookie press issue, as I've never used any other brand except Pampered Chef.  The directions are very clear and easy - and the recipes included are the best I've found for sugar and butter cookie doughs.  A year doesn't go by without the family asking when we're going to make our green Christmas trees and star cookies -a feat that can only be accomplished by the Pampered Chef press!

The Pampered Chef Cookie Press is great

When I was growing up we had one of the old fashioned twist spritz cookie presses.  It was hard to use and difficult to moderate the pressure and amount of dough.  This Pampered Chef cookie press works great - you just fill the barrel and squeeze the handle a couple of times and you are good to go.  The mechanism has a method for dispensing just the right amount of dough so the cookies are perfect and lovely each time.  It does come with some recipes and they are pretty easy.  One of the recipes with mine uses cake mix to create the dough so you can use yummy flavors like lemon and orange.  There are many different disks to use to create different cookies.  There are ones for most holidays - a clover, a heart, a pumpkin, flowers, a wreath, a tree, a butterfly and many others.   I guess this is an older version and not available anymore but I love it.  If you can get your hands on this I would scoop it up.

Pampered Chef's Cookie Press is cute, but not pratical

3

I really wanted to like this product.  I am a huge fan of Pampered Chef products, and normally they work really well.  However, the Cookie Press left a bit to be desired.  The positives:  It's easy to clean the unit and change out the cutting disks.  The disks leave quite a bit of variety, and make cute cookies.  It's refreshing not to have to roll out the batter, press the cookie cutter, and re-roll leftover dough.  The cons:  you have to make special dough for this product.  Normal cookie dough is way too thick and can't be pressed well.  The dough they recommended used quite a bit of butter, and is much less healthy then I'm used to using.  Also, sometimes it's difficult to get the shape to work.  Perhaps I'm just too mechanically challanged to make it work perfectly - I'm just an average mom.  I gave mine up.  Years later, someone gave me one as a gift, and it still sits in my cupboard, in the cardboard box, unused.
