We love to host parties, and being part of a Polish family, food plays a big part in our get-togethers. Around the holidays, we typically host a big dinner for our friends with a massive buffet, from appetizers to turkey with all the fixings. As important to me as the actual taste of the food is having a great presentation. So I love adding a little pizzazz to my table with fun plates, quirky decorations, and pretty much anything that sparkles. I purchased the Pampered Chef Beaded Spreader last Christmas and it makes a beautiful addition to a cheese tray or ball, dip bowl, or butter plate.
The spreader itself is stainless steel, with decorative glass beads for the handle. The only downside to this fancy little tool is that it's not dishwasher safe because of those beads. I wondered if the handle would feel flimsy and fragile, but they are firmly attached, don't wiggle at all in your hand, even when cutting through hard cheeses, and it cleans up easily. I paid $8.50 plus S&H, and the product comes with a 1-year PC guarantee. I plan on getting several of the other beaded utensils that Pampered Chef sells for a more coordinated look at my next holiday fete!
