These measuring spoons eliminate the need for multiple spoons of varying sizes. One spoon goes up to one teaspoon, and the other goes up to one tablespoon. When you need to use your kitchen space efficiently, this is a great way to solve the storage problem. I love these spoons because they are easy to clean (I just throw them in the dishwasher) and I don't have to dig around for the right size spoons when I'm cooking. I use these for both liquid and dry ingredients and have not had a problem with them in the years that I've used them. The markings are easy to read (even after several years of use and abuse). The little black "slide" parts have grooves for your thumb, which is handy. The slide moves easily but does not flop around, so it's not difficult to accurately measure your ingredients. This product is well-made and definitely helps me keep clutter at a minimum when I'm cooking!

Since I don't have a lot of drawer space, I thought the Pampered Chef Adjustable Measuring Spoons would be a great way to save space. They have all of the measurements you might need right in one product. You basically slide the small black portion over the amount you need to add to your recipe. This works great for dry items, but I think after having this measuring spoon for awhile some of the liquids won't end up being accurate measurements because you have to worry about the liquid leaking. Another reason I don't exactly love this is because I need to wash it between ingredients that I put in my recipe. With traditional measuring spoons, you don't need to do this as often because you use different size measuring spoons so they don't need to be rinsed off or washed. One of the main positives of this is that it can go directly into the dishwasher. I typically take off the black plastic part and put both that and the spoon itself into the dishwasher where utencils go. Ease of Cleaning This is pretty easy to clean because you can take off the black plastic part to clean out the entire measuring spoon. I typically put it in the dishwasher. Design I think the concept of this is great because it helps to save space in your drawers.

Pampered Chef's Adjustable Measuring Spoons have been in my kitchen for over five years now. I still use them occasionally, although most of the time I use my stainless steel spoons. The thing that I don't like about these measuring spoons is that they do not work very well for measuring liquids. This is because the spoons don't seal, so even though you may make the measuring spoon the size for say, a half of a teaspoon, some of the liquid seeps into the other side, and can mess up your measurements. So when I'm baking and using vanilla extract, for example, I have to use my regular measuring spoons. These spoons are handy to use for measuring out spices. They have the mL amounts next to the teaspoon and tablespoon amounts. I really like this feature because it makes it easier for me to do the math when I'm changing amounts in recipes. For example, I can never remember how many teaspoons go into a tablespoon, but a quick look at these spoons helps me figure it out. I do love that these are dishwasher safe!

I've owned several different brands of adjustable measuring cups and spoons and this is among the better ones. First off, these are for dry ingredients only. No matter what they say they do not measure liquids accurately. These are wonderful when baking or cooking when you need a lot of different ingredients such as spices as you only have to get out on measuring spoon. I find them especially helpful when making things such as cookies or quick breads where you find yourself needing baking soda, baking powder, and salt in varying amounts. These quickly go from one ingredient to the other and you only use one spoon instead of three or more. They're not the best things to hand wash but if you only measure dry ingredients it shouldn't be too bad. I experienced major problems when measuring darker items such as cocoa powder which got stuck in the edges. If you wash them in a dishwasher, just be sure to extend them to their maximum level and then wash them.

These adjustable measuring spoons from Pampered Chef work just OK. They measure liquids pretty well but are hard to use for solids. It is nice to only have two measuring spoons in my kitchen drawer. Ease of Cleaning These are Dishwasher safe but in order to get them cleaned thoroughly they really need to be hand washed. Food gets trapped under the adjustable slider. Durability I've had my set for 5+ years Design These adjustable measuring spoons work pretty well for liquids but not so well for solids. The heavier food tends to move the adjustable slider thereby distorting the measurement.

Pampered Chef Adjustable Measuring Spoons earn a rating of 3. They do an excellent job at measuring dry ingredients but not so great at measuring liquid. Positives: They are adjustable which is extremely convenient when baking. You can use one spoon and adjust it based on how much of the ingredient that you need. They are also easy to clean. The adjustable part will pop off and you can throw both parts into the dishwasher. Negatives: They don't measure liquids. The liquid will run back into the spoon and you never know how much you are getting. I have to switch back to my traditional measuring spoons when measuring liquids so I can be sure I am getting the right amount. Another negative, if you don't remember to take the top part off of the spoon before washing it, then it doesn't get clean, particles or water gets stuck behind the top part and doesn't get the spoon fully clean. Ease of Cleaning Very easy to clean. The top part comes off of the spoon and both are dishwasher safe.

They have survived much use and washing and still look new. Design The adjustable mixing spoons are designed to be easy to use; the thumbprint grip allows for easy adjustment between the measurements. This condenses the need for bigger, bulkier measuring spoon sets that do not store as easily.

I do like these measuring spoons a lot. I use them more for powdered measuring than I do for liquid. Even though you are supposed to press down on the slide to seal them for accurate liquid measurements, I don't think that works as well as it could. I LOVE using them for measuring spices though. Who wants to dig around for that stray 1/4 teaspoon measuring spoon? I do like that they come apart for washing as well. I usually toss them in the silverware basked it the dishwasher. Ease of Cleaning These are very easy to clean. Durability Mine have held up to many years of use. They still pop apart and back together just as they should. Design I love that they slide to adjust to different measurements, rather than having 6 different measuring spoons. I also appreciate the fact that they come apart for cleaning. The Pampered Chef always seems to make an effort to design their products in such a way that they can be thoroughly sanitized. This is very important to me and I am glad to see these measuring spoons are no different.

A friend of mine went to a Pampered Chef party/sale pitch and thought this might be a fun gadget for me to play with, as I do a lot of cooking and baking (including catering). Now keep in mind, I already have two sets of measuring spoons - one set is plastic for liquid such as extracts, and one set is stainless steel (specially shaped to get into jars of spices easily). So, I decided to do a side-by-side test with this new Pampered Chef Adjustable Measuring spoon. First, I checked the accuracy of dry measurement. Not bad, although a bit annoying to get an accurate level across the top because of the sliding black part. Second, I checked the accuracy of wet measurement - close, until some of the liquid started to leak. Third, cleaning - it's not too hard to clean because the black part does pop off, but I'm concerned that over time this will make the seal even worse and cause more leaks. From a user standpoint, I find this tool to be a pain. For example, typically you're measuring several different spices, leavening agents, etc. for one recipe. However, if you need a 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 2 tsp baking powder, and 1/4 tsp ground ginger, you have to clean the tool between each ingredient or risk cross contamination (unlike using loose measuring spoons). It doesn't save any room in the drawer because my other spoons are all attached and nest together already. Bottom line, this is a fun idea but not practical for decent cooks.

I absolutely love this measuring spoon.  I actually have two because I use it every day.  I keep one for dry ingrediants and one for wet ingrediants.  For anyone who loves cooking or baking I would suggest they get two as well.  I don't have to worry about switching back and forth between different spoons I can litterally just slide the size down and without any trouble put in the exact measurements I need into any dish. Pampered Chef is a great name brand and this is a product that definately stands up to their name.  It isn't as cheap as items you would find in the store but it is well worth the extra cost.  It is dishwasher safe- and believe me mine have gone through many washes in the dishwasher. I can easily find it in the drawer because of it's unique shape I can keep it in the same compartment with my spoons. I love attaching these to gifts for girlfriends.  It is a great add on that you can tie to the top of a present and it is always welcomed and people will remember you for it!
