I have recently had a bad problem with dryer skin on my hands than in the past. A friend recommended cocoa butter, the 'old fashioned type in a jar. The only one I could find initially was 'African Gold'. This product did the job well, but it was very grainy, and had many small lumps that would never rub in. I finally found the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E cream product at a Super Walmart, for 3.97, and it is WONDERFUL! I can use it any time of day or night. It does take a while to soak into the skin, but is well worth the wait. I use it twice a day, on hands, feet, knees, and elbows. It has made such a great difference, is very smooth, and has none of the grains or clumps of the other brand.
The label says that is it also good to prevent and treat stretch marks, but mine are so old, there is no cure!
I recommend this to anyone with dry skin--it is so inexpensive, that if you don't like it, what have you lost? I find this works better for me than plain petroleum jelly.
