Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lip Butter, Dark Chocolate & Peppermint —

Quick View: This butter is more like a gloss with an an amazing scent that lasts and lasts. It shines my lips and soothes them. I really enjoy using this lip product and do often just for the Peppermint Pattie rush I get. It is light but does help my dry lips. All for $1.99. I'll take 10 please!

About Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lip Butter, Dark Chocolate & Peppermint

This lip butter is not really lip butter as far as being super thick. It comes in a squeeze tube and glides on nicely. It is white in the tube but shines the lips lightly and looks like a gloss. It can be worn alone or over lip color for shine. But the main reason I love it is the scent.

I never was a chocolate lover but my father was. He always had chocolate around. I discovered round, silver foil wrapped Peppermint Patties at an early age and the taste was just right. Not too much chocolate, not too much mint. I stole them from my dad every chance I could. It was worth the guilt and his anger when he discovered that someone had tampered with his private chocolate stash. Fast forward many years and now I am buying my own Peppermint Patties occasionally. I still love them. So, when I got this lip product and applied it and it smelled EXACTLY like a Peppermint Pattie, I was sold. I didn't care if it worked or not. But it does. It hydrates my lips, soothes them, and gives them a light shine. It isn't greasy or heavy and is natural. And the scent. Amazingly realistic. It is so real that I swear I taste chocolate and mint but it is not flavored. Trust me, I licked my lips enough to know.

This is my new favorite cheap lip moisturizer. At under two bucks a tube, it is super affordable and can be worn out or at home for shine and moisture. It isn't heavy enough to truly deeply hydrate or heal chapped lips but it is a great maintenance lip product and one that works over lip color and alone.

My Viewpoint

I really wish this were flavored but then I would just lick it all off so maybe it is for the best. If you like the scent of dark chocolate and mint and want an inexpensive lip moisturizer that is heavy enough to wear alone and soothe yet light enough to wear over lip color for shine, this is a good one to try. I give it 4 stars. I love it but I do wish it were a bit heavier since my lips are really dry. Still, that scent is awesome!

Yum, peppermint and chocolate. I'll have to look for this. Palmer's is a good product and not expensive either :) Nice review!

I always loved Peppermint Patties but I've developed an allergy. :(

Oooooh that sounds so good! I love Palmer's lotion and it's scent but the addition of the chocolate and peppermint sounds awesome!
