I have had a zire 31 for a couple years. I think it works just fine for me. The other reviewer said the battery life was bad, I have not found that to be true. If I am on the ball I just plug it in at night, but have gone days without doing so with no probloms. I use it as an mp3 and to listen to books. I keep my shopping lists and such on it. Great for those of us who need a little help remembering things. I am upgrading to a Palm TX but only because I want to give this one to my son in law.
