Great value

The E2 was a gift from my wife.  It's my first PDA and I have to say I'm hooked.  It's really easy to use.  I was able to add internet usage by buying a WI-FI card, but I must say it is still a little slow.  It's also not that great in surfing regular sites.  However it really helps keeping up with e-mails and such when I'm on the road.  The battery usage is great, I only recharge about once a week.  Calender and contacts are wonderful.  I would buy this product again.

Nice product... until it broke.

I did really like this Palm, when it was working.  It was simple to use, and got the job done.  I don't need a whole lot of features, I was really just using it for contacts and the calendar.  For those purposes, it's a great product.  My only issue with it is that I can no longer use it because it broke, and I have no clue how.  I have a case for it, and it stays in my purse, which normally is not being thrown around!  Somehow, however, the screen broke.  It wasn't the outer glass, it was the inner screen that actually displays everything, so now when I turn it on it's just looks like a broken screen.  It's unfortunate too, now I have to use a paper calendar!

it does what you need it to do

This is a very reliable palm product. I have had my Tungsten E2 for a few years and not had any major challenges with it.  It is simple to use and does the basics of what I need it to do.  I would definately recommend this for individuals who are not particular technically inclined but still want to utilize the efficiency that comes with using a palm or PDA device. The only thing I really do not like is not being able to access the internet using the device with out having to purchase an additional piece of equipment.  In the future it would be nice if internet acces where integrated into the actual device.  As with any PDA backing up your data is critical and with this device very simple and easy to do.  I also enjoy being able to store information on the scan disk as a back up for those times when I may not have access to my computer to sync.  I would definately recommend this product for individuals who want or need to do the basics with a PDA and accessing the internet thru your PDA is not necessary.

My Palm Tungsten E2 is everything I need for work and school

The Palm Tungsten E2 has many different features that makes it on the top of my list for work and school use. It has a quick tour feature, bluetooth, calculator, calendar, contacts, dialer, expense handler, favorites, hot sync, media (photos and music) memos, note pad, RealPlayer, task and a web feature. It easily keeps things and dates you need to remember organized and easy to retrieve. The Realplayer feature and headphone jack allows you to listen to songs that you transfer to your Palm. It also has the capabilities of software add-ons through the Palm Desktop application. The stylus is built into the side of the PDA and is really hard to lose. There are a few isues with the PDA though. There is no actual internet access, no camera and the screen can be easily broken. It has frozen on me a few times because a bit of grit can also get in the edges of the touch screen and cause a false touch. But overall, it is very effective tool in keeping track of your important dates and keep your life organized.

Palm Tungsten E2 - A Solid Performer But Behind the Times

3

Palm Tungsten E2 Handheld PDA I've owned the Palm Tungsten E2 for almost 4 years now. I have owned a number of Palms over the years but I'm not retiring this. These have become artifacts with more attractive choices from phones (Palm OS, Android, iPhone) and even the iTouch music players. **The good:** the Palm OS is solid and easy to use. It provides a lot of the basic Personal Information managment (PIM) functionality and there is a decent catalog of Palm OS software out on the market, although some of it is looking overpriced especially in the advent of the iPhone and it's App Store. The build of the product is very refined.**The bad: **with the iPhone, iPod touch, Android and other devices becoming so prevalent the audience for such a bare device is decreasing rapidly. Of particular note is the lack of WiFi or web-browsing functionality. The device comes with minimal RAM though there is a SD card expansion slot. **Pros:** - easy to use, reliable **Cons:** - no internet access **Conclusion:**Overall this product has served me well (I owned two older model Palms: Palm V and Palm III before). But if you are in the market today -- late 2008 -- I believe there are better devices out or on the horizon.

I love my Palm Pilot tungsten E2

I had one of the early m100s and was so happy with it, till I got this.  Color screen, easier to read, more applications, and for someone who wants a phone to talk with and a PDA to do everything else with, this fills the bill nicely.

Easy to use, but kind of clunky

The Palm Tungsten E2 Handheld keeps me on track. Its sleek design and stylish cover protect it from damage as I take it from place to place. I can easily enter my day's plans, make lists, check out my future schedule and organize my day with the touch of a stylus, which is safely and securely stored on the side of the unit. That said, this is not my first choice of machine. It is a little heavy, which means it doesn't break when I drop it but it rivals the iPhone plus battery case in weight. The cover is too easy to scratch and dent. The power cord that comes with the machine is too stiff and makes it hard to charge my Palm or sync it without accidentally dropping it. The screen often doesn't recognize the sytlus' touch, which I thoguht had to do with the screen protector I put on the machine. However, I tested the stylus without the cover and it wasn't an improvement. Bottom line: you could find a better organizer out there.

Little assistant from heaven

This is a really compact and good for price gadget. It has a nice range of features that come in handy. To begin with,it has wonderful screen quality. It boasts a 320x320 Transflective TFT color display touchscreen.Makes for a very clear display.Maybe I'm the only one who pays attention to such, but everytime I have a touchscreen device I always make a note to pay attention to the durability of the screen.I,at least have noticed a difference which brings me to say this product is also not made cheap. It's actually quality built.Next you have the 32 MB of memory. This ought to come in handy.Nice amount of memory can be dispersed for many purposes. You do of course have the option of purchasing memory cards for enhanced storage. There are also cards for expanded content or features on this device.I guess the built-in Bluetooth technology doesn't hurt either. It's excellent on battery power.I can't stress that enough.Has a nice convenient little 'navigator' at the bottom of the device for single hand navigation. Then of course the built in commands like instant access favorites, contacts, notepad, tasks, calendar at the touch of a button. All around an excellent device.

The Palm Tungsten E2 is a great handheld PC. It has a lot more storage when purchased with an SD card. Easy to use. Instructions are simple and easy to follow set up guide. The slim look is not bulky and is easy to carry with you.  Well recommended.

Use my Tungsten E2 Handheld every day for medical database searches. Easy to use, takes ALOT of hard knocks (dropping, hitting, etc) and keeps on ticking. Really long battery life. I couldn't practice medicine without it.
