The lifetime on these devices seems to be about two years. I've dropped mine multiple times, but it finally stopped working about a month after the last fall with no apparent provocation, no nothing. While it was working, though, it was a very useful tool. I used a limited number of programs on it, and didn't take advantage of some of the features. If all you want is a PDA to look up drug names (yay Epocrates!), go with a cheaper model.
