Palm - Treo 755P Cell Phone Review Summary

The community is somewhat split on Palm’s brushed sliver Treo 755P Smart Phone. While one reviewer praised the Treo 755P, stating "This product is slightly pricey but well worth the money. It has everything you need in one place," another reviewer chastised the device complaining that the unit was faulty in design, build, and functionality. The small and lightweight Treo 755P combines a phone with wireless email, built-in web browser, (native) support for Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and PDF documents. A full QWERTY keyboard and color touch-screen round out the Treo 755P’s feature and function suite. This product is slightly pricey but well worth the money. It has everything you need in one place. The product works as a palm pilot and phone. So if you are busy or do not want your phone on, you can just shut it off and continue with your palm programs. I also cancelled my interenet at home as the... review »

I bought the Palm Treo 755p in January of 2008.  I still have it, for the sole reason that I am not eligible yet to get a new phone with my wireless plan.  I am pretty busy, so it was important to me to have a really good calendar on my cell phone.  The calendar and the internet are the primary reasons...

My first Treo was the 650, which I enjoyed.  Nevertheless, I waited for an entire year or more for Verizon to pick up the 755.  I even drempt of this -- pretty twisted, but I did.  The day it came out I "upgraded" my 650 only to be left totally defeated and discouraged.

For me, it is the little things that have me a little angry.  First, when you want to end a call you have to tap the screen and 40% of the time it doesn't hang up...you are left there wondering if the call is over or if you have to tap it again.  If it really has hung up the extra tap will start A NEW CALL, which I didn't...

i have had the 300 series, the 600 series and now the 700 series of the treo. it is by far the best phone i have ever had. it is a phone you do not have to read the manual for. i downgraded to the iphone 3 months ago and am regretting it now.  if i compare the two phones, i would choose the treo. the functions on the treo are just so much better. the virtual keyboard inhibits my text messaging.

Massive improvement over the 700 OS. Reception and speed are vastly increased.
What can i say about this phone? Having been an owner of the Treo 600, then moving onto the standard 650, then skipping the 700p due to the fact that it did not have the high speed capability that i was seeking and the features were not much different then the 650. Now that the 755p has come out, i got a chance to demo it at a Sprint Store. Let me tell you, i just fell in love with it after holding it on my palm. I just love how how it fits in my hands, unlike the previous Treos, as it has a contoured texture grippiness...

I love my Palm 755p.   The Palm operating system is great, small files which don't freeze up.  I work in a mobile environment and love that my phone has my outlook calendar, has alarms reminding me to do various tasks, even pay monthly bills.   My email downloads easily and keeps me on top of my work.   The phone syncs with outlook, moving all my contacts into my phone, and entering those from my phone into my computer, which is important when I enter numbers on the go yet still want them in my business contacts.

Google maps is ever so useful, I find myself using it for everything.  I...

I love my phone because of the touch screen. It was hard to adjust to at first, because I didn't realize the end call button also shuts off the screen and stops me from randomally calling people. You can also turn off the touch screen option when you're talking on the phone which is amazing because I hated that I would accidently change options on my phone because my face touched the screen. The lovely thing about the touch screen, is that you never REALLY need to use the stilus. I move quickly through my menus by mainly tapping my screen with my finger and then scrolling using the keys on the... review »

This product is a super all-in-one phone. Well worth the money. It has everything you need in one place. I use it day and night, and works great for phone usage (duh..), heavy duty email usage, internet browsing, and lastly, have recently used it more for music and viedo watching.

The broadband speed is decent and the browser works with almost all normal websites. This 755P is a user friendly phone. This is my third Treo, and each newer model is a bit smaller and more user friendly than its previous model. It is comfortable to hold and easy to use the keyboard, for either one handed or two...

thinking phones are the future

I've had this phone for about 6 months, so I'm used to most of its idiosyncracies - and there are a lot. I'll lay out a few of them. I can feel my stress rising just thinking about it.

1. Oversensitive touch screen
If I smile when on the phone, I'll often hit the mute button (which I can then never find to shut off).

2. Poor location of buttons
For example, the button for hanging up a call is in the same location as dialing voicemail. So if I hit the hang-up button twice (which I often do, since it doesn't seem to work the first time,) I will also dial voicemail.

3. Phone gets stuck.
This happens...

I actually got the Treo 775p as a hand-me-down from my mother in law who had a lot of problems with the phone and wanted something simpler. I'll be honest, I thought she was just technologically inept, but actually this phone seems to have a mind of its own.

First, the things I like about it. I love the qwerty keyboard, the touch screen (with stylus if I need it), and the Microsoft OS. It syncs up well to my Microsoft 2007 suite and I really like the call back log with pretty detailed information. I use the recently called people feature a LOT and it's helpful when I'm in a hurry. I haven't had...

For a pretty penny (but not too expensive considering the features), this phone is a life-saver for busy people on-the-go.  It literally is a "pocket PC" - it has all of the features of a personal computer, but simplified and confined in order to create a device that fits into your pocket.  The 755P is powered by Sprint (there are other model numbers of this exact same phone that are powered by other wireless carriers).  One flaw to this Sprint-powered device is PictureMail ... I am not able to send pictures from my cell phone to people using other wireless services (Verizon, Cingular) unless... review »

As a busy Mom/Systems Coordinator/Small business owner/Domestic goddess, I could not live without my Palm Treo 755p!

The Palm combines the benefits of a full feature mobile phone with the functionality of a mobile office.  Top to bottom, the phone contains an expansion slot for added memory for all of those documents, contacts and emails.  Along with a famous silent mode switch and integrated housing for the stylus, the blinking light on the Sprint version lets you know when you have missed an important event (phone call, text message, alert, etc).

The touch screen supports 65,000 colors...

I have had a Palm Treo 755p for almost two years now and I have to say it is the biggest waste of money I have ever spent.  The internet browser function is a complete joke.  It takes forever to google the smallest thing and you wait forever for it to load - that is even after the 3 minutes you waited to get google to load in the first place.  The google maps feature offered on the phone also is just as useless.  Sprint does have a naviagation program and I have no idea why it was not offered on this phone.  I have used that program on another phone and it much more user friendly and you...

The treo 755p is a lifesaver.  It's your very own little computer in your pocket. It's everything in one.  Like most phones they don't have a full keyboard, but palms phones (besides blackberries) where the first to have the full key boards. Also it's the 1st phone to be touch screen.  You don't need a ipod or an mp3 player because it has pocketunes.  You don't need to buy ringtones because you can get a program called ringo and create your own ringtones from songs in pocketunes.  You can create to do lists and task lists.  It keeps a call log for over 6 months! Thats great.. It's great. Mobile...

This Treo 755P really is a cutting edge phone. It is comfortable to hold for long periods of time.  I thought the buttons might have been hard to hit but I am amazed at my accuracy in typing.  I can do a one handed or two handed typing.

This is my second smart phone.  I had the Mogul HTC slider phone and there really is no comparison.  This phone flies and does circles around the Mogul. Web browsing and email service are handy and I use the more than I expected.

It really is a smart phone. It has worked flawlessly for me over the past 2 months. I really enjoy the shortcut keys on the...
