Palm - Treo 755P Cell Phone —
For a pretty penny (but not too expensive considering the features), this phone is a life-saver for busy people on-the-go. It literally is a "pocket PC" - it has all of the features of a personal computer, but simplified and confined in order to create a device that fits into your pocket. The 755P is powered by Sprint (there are other model numbers of this exact same phone that are powered by other wireless carriers). One flaw to this Sprint-powered device is PictureMail ... I am not able to send pictures from my cell phone to people using other wireless services (Verizon, Cingular) unless they have web-access and a Sprint PictureMail account. Sometimes I am able to e-mail the picture to them using my SprintPCS e-mail account via my cell phone; however, sometimes that does not work either. The phone also freezes up from time to time, and I have had to hard-reset the phone at least twice (basically, wiping every piece of personal information from the phone and starting with a "new" phone). On the plus side, the built-in camera is fantastic. I love the Treo interface. The case of the phone is a bit rubberized to prevent cracking upon rough impacts (I drop my phone a lot!). The screen is easily cleaned without the use of a screen-protector. The letters and the numbers don't rub off the buttons because they are printed below the surface of the keys. Very cool! Lots of free applications and games for the phone, and Documents-to-Go works very well. The built-in IM feature works well, but you are limited to a list of 30 contacts per messaging service.
